I was surprised at the... by mkb1173

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

I was surprised at the size of the ship compared to 8 other Carnival ships we have sailed on. The Pride is small. Although you could tell it is an older ship we still had a pleasant time. I gave it 3 stars because of the ships old design the propeller constantly shook the dinning room and even in calm seas the front of the boat was very choppy. The interior is very dark and the open deck space was small. We used the kids camp nearly everyday and they were wonderful. Staff was always smiling and cheerful.

12/3 _ 12/10 .. My... by circe6b

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

12/3 _ 12/10 .. My first cruise on the Pride and the first out of Baltimore.. but not my first cruise (18th)?. I have the good the bad and the ugly. The good .. the Ship, I liked the size and the configuration, very easy to get around. The dinning, evening, always something good/interesting to eat. Lunch and breakfast on the Lido.. a nice selection.. Seaday brunch should not be missed. I had "your time dinning", never waited more then 10 minutes. Good entertainment in the lounges. The Carnival HUB app should be used, interactive tv not up to par. A few people should be mentioned.. in the dinning room .. Hostess Inel, Waiters Vladamir and Somphop.. The crew In general, always with a smile and willing to help. The bad.. Getting on and off.. an organized failure... a general lack of event notification by the PA. The main showroom entertainment.. lacking, the singer's and dancers try their best and a couple are pretty good, but there is no production value. The cruise director Saffie.. I've read reviews mostly good, I have to disagree, if all a cruise dir has to do is to introduce events in the main showroom, she's tops, but if it involves keeping the travelers informed about all events she failed. The ports are what you make of them. The ugly.. casino has a lot of my money..But after all the above I would most likely sail on her again.

So I’ve been on tons... by JBradway

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

So I’ve been on tons of Carnival cruises and I have never had a bad time. I love it I’m not super picky so I just need a balcony and a book, good trivia and karaoke (which has been slacking as the years go by in my opinion) but not a deal breaker. What I can rave about that was new was camp ocean. I have a 3 year old and he couldn’t get enough of it. As soon as he woke he wanted to go and anytime he left he would say “see ya later guys I be back soon”. He still asks to go back to the boat to “play with the kids”. Amazing counselors He wanted nothing to do with mommy and daddy except introduce us to his new friends.

Great Cruise! by devonofly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall it was a great first cruise. The overall environment was amazing and it really truly felt like vacation. Wish there had been more onboard entertainment for young adults (25-30) since there was so much time on the sea. Thank you to our steward Wayan for being so attentive to us.

This was my 2nd cruise... by EvonJoRock

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

This was my 2nd cruise on the Carnival Pride. It’s a nice ship. Not to big and not to small. Easy to find your way around. There’s maps on every floor. Very clean with nice decor. The elevators is in good working condition. I didn’t have a long wait for the elevators throughout the ship. During my 1st cruise on the Carnival Pride in 2015 I didn’t feel a lot of wave motion however this time the whole ship felt a lot of wave motion. All locations on the ship. Even the staff was making fun of all the wave motion. The hot tubs is nice. The one for adults in the serenity area is really small. The hot tub located in the gym is a nice second option. The lido deck at the buffet and seating area needs a new floor. Some of the tiles is loose. I was walking and tripped because one of the tiles is no longer attached to the floor. I noticed several of the tiles is no longer attached to the floor. In one of the ladies room on the 3rd deck only one out of 4 toilets was working. The ladies room at the casino was closed the whole week of the cruise. Overall it’s a nice ship. It’s getting old and can use some repairs. The staff works really hard to keep the ship up to par.

I was totally shocked by how beautiful the ships interior is! The staff were great and it was absolutely amazing to leave from Baltimore..... 1 more star if the dining service would have been more attentive but all in all, don’t delay & book the pride today!

First but not last time... by deena67

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

First but not last time on the Pride, I really fell in love with this ship and this review is about the ship itself not the ports. Our boarding was delayed 4 hours my first impression of the atrium was welcome you can relax now, it felt like a gathering spot. On subsequent nights the music played was great. It did get crowded at times especially on formal nights but this was expected. The layout of the ship is easy to get around, lots of bathrooms. I loved the dining room, our waitstaff was fantastic and the singing maitrade (spelling?) was fun. Really liked the casino which never felt overly smokey (I'm a smoker) the dealers and pit bosses were cool especially when they called us by name. The drink service in the casino needed work though. Shore excursion staff went above and beyond. Really liked the lido deck especially with three pools. The serenity deck was very relaxing. It was always easy to find food, great selection on lido. The area of the fun shops did get congested and were kind of small but no biggie. Our room was always clean Ricardo did a great job. Disembarking was just that, no one wants vacation to end so crabbiness level goes up. We put our bags out the night before so our wait was a little longer. We were provided coffee and water while we waited and the staff handled us great. Now the not so good things. Deck 3 outside had no chairs (most likely due to rough seas we experienced through most of the cruise). Internet service stunk almost the whole time (a lot of kids on board probably eating up bandwidth). The ship needs some TLC, there were obviously rusty parts and wear and tear. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. Bottom line would I sail her again??? In a heartbeat! Would I recommend her?? OMG YES!!

Relaxing vacation by midnight069

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Overall cruise was great, the only thing was the casino smoking and sometimes the shows were so close together in time that we barely had time to make it to the next one without worrying if you going to get a seat

Relaxing and fun cruise by Cellex

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Carnival Pride is a clean ship. It could use some updating. The staff and crew were friendly and always there to help and greet you. We did not travel with children but noticed there were a lot of activities to offer the little ones.

Not perfect, but pretty darn good ... by OldBull2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Going to the bottom line, because of rough seas in the Chesapeake Bay we were late getting started ... because of rough seas in the Chesapeake Bay we were late getting back. My advise is ... don’t sail out of Baltimore, problem solved.

Was our first cruise and... by WesWoods

Was our first cruise and even though the Disembarkation was the worst part of the trip we still loved it! We are definitely hooked! Terminal was close to home and embarking was super easy. Would recommend this to anyone young or old.
