We only booked this because of the amazing itinerary. I'll never do a Carnival cruise again. The ship was so old and rickety, though I'm sure it was nice years ago.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
More than half the food was just not very good. There were a few things that were decent, though. The soft serve out by the pool was the best. The pizza wasn't bad, either.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The activities were so not enticing. We mostly hung out in our room or went to the karaoke bar.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The shows were mostly amateur. There were a couple of comedians that were hilarious at the adult show but we went back to the earlier show after that, and they weren't funny at all trying to be family-oriented.
Children's Programs
no kids
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Some of the service was really good, though in the theater, it was hard to get anyone to get a drink at first.
Ship Quality

This old ship needs to be retired
Cabin / Stateroom

I upgraded us to an ocean suite and it was a big waste of money. Such an old outdated room that looked like it was ready to fall apart. The rooms (even the suites) have tvs that look like they are still out of the 70s and the suites have no plugs near the bed.
We were on the Pride in April for a Panama canal cruise. We loved it. The room and hall with all the butterflies was beautiful! Don't remember what it was called. Had a balcony cabin, food was great. Can't please everyone. We had a wonderful time.
Been on the Pride many times because of its great itineraries. The food has been very good, but as said before, its subjective. I know what to expect when I book an older ship so I manage my expectations and enjoy the ride. I do hate that they took the hot tub out of the gym area though.
Meh, I've sailed on the Pride twice. The TV's are not analog. They are flat screen modern TV's. Food is subjective but I've never had a bad meal on Carnival. Some people just seem to look for things to complain about. I guess it's just who they are. Thankfully they tend to weed themselves out so eventually there won't be any left. I'll sail on the Pride any day. It's a great ship.
Good thing you enjoyed the port cities. That ship is a little over 20 years old the televisions would have been analog over the air reception so yes that's kind of old. Thanks for the review.
