This cruise was our 4th but our 1st Journey cruise. We really liked the work accomplished by all crew members we met. Carnival Pride is just the right size for us in the sense it is big enough while still remaining at a human level as we do not appreciate ship with 3000 or more passengers.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very smooth fast and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was generally good.
Crew was very friendly and professional.
The only drawback I can see is the lack of variety offered when you are on a 14 days cruise.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Did not really participate in any activities (I am more of the quiet type) but I needed to give a better than average because of our Cruise Director the Reverend Dr. E making this cruise unique.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Did not enjoy some shows while really enjoyed others thus the evaluation given.
One I do miss is the live band that used to play during the performances. It added a lot to the experience compared to a recording.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Only one word... WOW!!!
Everyone on board was exceptional at providing us with a memorable experience.
It was my second time on the Pride but I must say this time every crew member I interacted with were incredible.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love the size and ship design.
I know this ship is getting old according to certain standards BUT this class of ship offers you a good balance between size and activities while giving a fair crew to pax ratio
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabins stewards (2 of them working in team) were very very good.
Your average well maintain stateroom
Overall ship in great condition
Ship tip
Take time to get to know the ship according to your like and dislike.
For example if you need to move quickly from the front to the back and you are on the 3rd floor passing by the outside dock is fantastic!!!
Went to do the Passeo del Morro (about 15 minutes from ship by walk (if you do not stop at any vendor (Quite a few of them))) and came back via the old town nice walk but the streets are somewhat crowded.
People are generally friendly.
Did not care much for this port of call.
We did not book an excursion since there is a beach a few minutes away from the pier.
If you do not book an excursion not much to do.
We did not book an excursion since there is a nice beach right by the pier.
We were fortunate to find empty chairs with an umbrella (located on the right side of the pier when exiting the ship)
The beach located to the right is not as nice as the one to the left but you will have to pay for chairs and umbrella if you go to the left
Did not book an excursion went walking in town. Locals were not to pushy!!!
Lovely surrounding and if you like to experience the French side of the Caribbean you won't be deceive.
Did not book an excursion.
Very beautiful scenery from Port but Locals were extremely pushy to say the least.
If you go to the vendors right outside of the port do not touch anything if you don't want to be bothered to much. I was always telling my wife to watch with her eyes!!!
