Review summary

Overall this journey cruise was good with a few exceptions: 1. Television remote control worked poorly even after having room steward replace it on first day. 2.WiFi service at best was only fair (we had the Value Wi-Fi Plan @ $10.25/day. 3. Television Channels were very limited and commercials were always in a different language which we did not like( not sure why this was broadcasted in a different language ). 4. Shower water was slightly brown when first turned on but cleared up quickly.

Embarkation

We were delayed by about an hour on embarkation day, sat in a large room with hundreds of other waiting passengers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin stewards Edwin and Zimik were fantastic every day of our 14 day cruise, Room was kept spotless and comfortable through-out the cruise. Dining staff San Juan, Jerico and Libin worked very hard daily to service all passengers in our area (table#233) and San Juan really danced his rear end off-lol and kept us all entertained and serviced. Thank You for meeting new friends on the "Pride" including Gary and his wife Barbara from Ohio and Paul and his wife Karen from Pennsylvania. It was truly a pleasure to meet all of you.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ships Layout and design was good but ship needs a lot of updating with décor and painting maintenance ( Noticed a good amount of rust area's in which some area's were being worked on as we were cruising. At times this made it inconvenient to even enjoy our own balcony (Suite #7296) at times due to painting maintenance being performed above us. Also our balcony showed a good amount of peeling paint and rust area's. Ship is going into dry dock soon for a re-model. Carnival. Carnival needs to do a better job with the maintenance of their ships with-less inconvenience to their passengers.

Ship tip

You need to be very hungry - There is plenty of food even though you may need to wait in line at times.

We booked an excursion with Glory Tours for a beach day at Pirates Cove and somehow spent the day on Copacabana Beach. We did not receive any explanation as to why this beach day locationwas changed but Copacabana Beach was very nice and we were not disappointed.

Castries, St. Lucia

Very Pretty island.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Did the Open Top Double Decker island tour, nice 3 1/12 hour tour, went to Toppers Rum and had an assortment of rum samples ( very tasty), also visited a cheese mfg and sampled some cheese. Also visited Maho beach St. Maarten to watch the planes fly in low to the beach ( A must see ). Overall a nice tour

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation started off good but then stalled, we had priority embarkation & disembarkation but took over two hours to get off ship to luggage area. Carnival needs to improve on this problem in the future if they want to keep us as a passenger in the future.

Thank you very much for your review. It always helps to read what others experienced and it also helps us make future cruise decisions. Don and Helen from Newnan, Georgia
