Review summary

Love to cruise! Love the Pride! But......she is starting to show her age and really needs some work done! The window in our cabin on level one really looked like it was held in place by the rust! Our stop in Barbados was ruined by Cookie announcing, as the halfway was opened, that the entire island was non-smoking! My wife is a smoker and the idea of spending the entire day without a cigarette did not make her happy! We did a portion of our excursion, but it was supposed to end as a beach day! Instead we returned to the ship where she could smoke if she wanted! We later found out that the non-smoking announcement was not true! I enjoyed my meals in the MDR, but my wife was not very happy with the menu choices and had the pork chop at least 7 of the 14 days! The entertainment was good but some of the comments/jokes made by the entertainers would have been more appropriate in the Butterflies Lounge than in the Taj Mahal! Debarcation was kind of a mess, but mostly because of rude people who just had to be the first ones off the ship! I also did not feel that Cookie controlled the situation very well! All self debarkers, Diamond and Platinum were put in the MDR where we heard nothing from Cookie! Whether the speakers in there were not working and Cookie was giving no information, I don't know, but we were existing on rumours of what was happening! Sounds like a lot of complaints, but if I could afford it I would be back in board to day! I'm my Opinion, the only way to vacation and the positives greatly outweigh the negatives! Just please, please, please bring your patience and your desire to just have a great vacation!

Well said My Husband has trouble breathing and is not subordinate to be around smoke. I don't smoke. We are going on the Pride in May. This is are first cruise. If there is to much smoke it will be the last one. I hope we have a good time.

I agree with Masonry!

I wish the ship was non smoking also we avoid the deck with the casino because of the smell and had issues with smokers smoking illegally on the balconies.

I was told that non-smoking in Barbados applied to the port area only due to the gas lines.

Thanks for the tip.

Lots of places are non-smoking. People shouldn't be subjected to someone's bad habits, particularly smoking. Sounds like she likes to complain. Maybe she should do research before you book a cruise as to food, smoking, etc. I have never smoked and don't think I or anyone else should be subjected to someone else's bad habit
