Review summary

My favorite was the way Baltimore took your luggage from your car.  When we were boarding the lines were so long they gave us a time to board before the cruise 12 to 12:30 that didn' t mean a thing.  The way they do disembarkment was the worse.

Think of an airport. You might check in at 10:30 for a 12:30 flight. Until they begin boarding the plane you have to wait in the terminal. For a cruise ship customs has to clear the ship and that varies week to week so they don't always know exactly when boarding will start.

Mmellyell. Not 100% sure Baltimore is doing check in time. Check in time is, check into the port to verify your papers, get your room key. Boarding time...is when you can board. If you check in before they actually allow boarding, you will wait in a waiting area at the port.

whats the difference between boarding time and check in time?

Until the ramp is repaired (I heard may not be until January.) debarkation and embarkation is via Deck A.

All the cruise ports people will take the luggage out of your car for you. It's great not to have to lift it.

When you boarded did you use a gangway on deck 0/1? I heard the normal boarding ramp was damaged so maybe that threw a wrench in the mechanics.

On your boarding pass was check in time, not boarding time. Just future reference.
