Review summary

I love cruising in general, but cruising for my birthday is really great! I love all the perks, the activities, great service, great people. The downside...because of the weather we didn't get to dock in the ports of call we signed up for.

When you do your online check in they ask you if it's a special occasion. They sing Happy Birthday and bring you a cake in the MDR. We ate in the steakhouse the first night which was my birthday and the second night we ate in the MDR and they did it then.Funny story but right after they sang to me and brought a cake they also did the same for my husband.We thought oh how nice his birthday was in August.Our first thought was we sailed in May then in Sept so they were doing it since they missed his birthday.Then later that night I realized what happened. Initially I booked the cruise in my name with all my information then for rate purposes we had a Carnival Agent switch the booking to my husband's name.She only switched the names and not the information. Before we sailed I caught it and fixed it but the MDR already had the information on special occasions so we both got a cake. I have a picture of the cake on my profile. I wish I would have taken a picture of it cut because it has rainbow layer's very pretty and super yummy!

I didn't know that they do something special if it's your birthday. was a cake delivered to your room? I will be on a cruise for my birthday. how do you make them aware of it.

I cruised on the Pride in September for my birthday, the birthday cake was really good 😁 and the room steward's wrote Happy Birthday on my mirror.
