Review summary

I think Carnival should adopt the motto, "Cruising on the Cheap".  From the dining to the entertainment, throughout the cruise that phrase came to mind.  Offerings at breakfast on the Lido Deck did not change from day two and consisted of the worst bacon I have ever experienced.  Not once in seven mornings was corned beef hash offered and the sausage was so bad looking I couldn't touch it.  The entertainment for the week consisted of four nights of production shows, two doses of the cruise director's attempts a humor and one "zero" night.  No real talent in the clubs or lobby.  Worse cruise of our 65 cruises and our last on Carnival.

Have taken many Carnival cruises and have NEVER had a bad one

Exactly.. good French Toast should be the deciding factor whether a cruise is good or not.

Your criteria is corned beef hash for breakfast? WOW!

Thanks, mmspm, I am happy to be on vacation, having my bed made, my room cleaned, my meals cooked, and be waited on by the wonderful staff. I also have found that if you treat them nice and with respect, they will do the same. I often see people treat the staff poorly and it really saddens me. Again, my husband and I have been on many cruises and we always have a good time!

Pebsmarie, I agree, your cruise is what you make of it!!

We have been on many cruises on different cruise lines and different ships. We were recently on this ship in July and are going back on this ship in October. I always have a great time! I think it is all what you make of it. I had the sausage and bacon and I didn't think they were awful. And to be upset that they didn't have corned beef hash? We have enjoyed every cruise that we have been on!

How unfortunate that you did not enjoy your cruise.  However there are other cruiselines for you to consider.  I hope that your future cruises are a better fit.

The buffet is huge. How many breakfast items can there possibly be? Of course it won't change much.

I agree The breakfast food at the buffet never changed and cold. I just ordered omelette all the time .

Typically over toast or home fries.

Deniseg    9 years ago

Typically over toast or whole price but I've had mine over hashbrowns and pancakes too. I was getting creative. LOL

I personally LOVE SOS.

Deniseg    9 years ago

No, not even close. SOS is creamed chipped beef.

The bottom line is you get what you pay for. Time to upgrade. I did a Carnival Cruise in 2000 and that was the last Carnival for me.
