Review summary

My husband and I had a wonderful time on our seven day cruise/2nd honeymoon. It was so relaxing! The food was great, our dinner companions were wonderful. We had a wonderful time getting to know other guests on the ship. We spent a lot of time reading and sunning on the deck. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed the great shows in the Taj Mahal lounge each night after dinner. (A word of caution- even the "family entertainment" was filled with sexual inuendo, scantily clad female dancers and references to drugs, sex, drinking and gambling.) We loved the ports of call and strongly recommend that cruise guests sign up for some of the great tours that are available. We took a jeep ride, a bus ride and a snorkeling tour. We heard the extreme canopy adventure was awesome and wish we had time to do it as well! Shopping is definitely less expensive in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan and very expensive in Cabo San Lucas. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend cruising to any one who wants a relaxing, fun filled getaway without the hassle of cooking, driving or doing much of anything except eating, sleeping and playing!

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
we spent most of the day on a jeep ride into the countryside visiting small villages and the tequilla factory. We had a great time but we would have liked more time for shopping! Next time we want to try the Etreme Canopy Adventure- we heard it was awesome!
Don't Miss: Shopping

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cabo was definitely the cleanest, most picturesque port, but it was also the most expensive and the least authentic of all our ports of call. DONT shop here! The water was gorgeous, spend your time in a water activity!
Don't Miss: water sports

Mazatlan, Mexico

We spent the entire day on a 7 hour bus ride through the countryside. We definitely need more time for shopping!!

Pros: The food was awesome, the ship was beautiful, the ports of call were fun, the weather was gorgeous!

Cons: We thought the shore excursions offered throught the ship were very over priced compared to comparable tours not offered through Carnival.
