I loved Alaska and we will sail again but from Seattle this time to avoid Prince Rupert. Alaska is a beautiful place and look forward to going back again for sure.

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I love this ship. It was #7 of the carnival fleet that I have sailed on and my favorite. It is just beautiful and the decor was just enchanting. I loved it from the moment I stepped onto the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room steward kept our cabin extremely clean and we were very comfortable. For 4 people it would have been nice to have a little more room but it was good.
Ship tip
Explore this ship, visit all the rooms and just enjoy it being a smaller ship. I loved that it was only less than 3000 people including crew
There was 11 of us so we booked 3 Jeeps as our excursion and we had a lot of fun sightseeing and just exploring Juneau and then went into the town centre and went to Red Dog Saloon which was an experience and a lot of fun.
We book Mushing at one of the Mush camps and it was awesome. We also got to interact with the dogs and then went to see the new puppies for hugs and cuddles. Excursion was great. We went exploring in all the shops and was nice to just walk the streets.
Liked this port and we just got on the local bus and went into Hoonah and explored and shopped. It was a lot of fun. At the port itself there isn't a lot to do but there are cable cars and zip lining there.
The Fjord was beautiful and we did book the excursion that cruised the Fjord in a smaller boat and this was disappointing for the cost ($220 if i remember). We did the same cruising as our ship did and did not get to touch the glacier or do some of the things the excursion said. I would not book this again.
It was my least favorite port and the people were not particularly pleasant. It was just okay. One of the highlights that we were told was Walmart and Safeways and that was part of a tram ride that was going to cost us $70 per person. We looked at the small shops at the pier and went back to the ship. I would not go there again.
If you go to Alaska leaving from Seattle stay a few days in Seattle either before or after cruise. We stayed 4 nights and 3 days. Loved it. Also, our last port of the cruise was Victoria BC. We were on the Celebrity Solstice and did an excursion to Butchart Gardens through them. That was fantastic!
