We were very satisfied with the entire cruise overall. We have no real complaints and would recommend this cruise to anyone interested.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Everything went very smoothly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
There were many food choices and we were very satisfied with just about everything we ate. All of the dining rooms/restaurants were clean and the wait staff were attentive, eager to please, friendly and polite.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
While there are enough pools and hot tubs, something really needs to be done about the deck lounge chair hogs that place personal items on unused lounge chairs in order to save them for when they want them. It's unfair and inconsiderate to other guests that would like to use one now but can't.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Play List Production shows were top notch and as far as we were concerned, equal to any show you might see in Las Vegas Etc. Impressed and very satisfied.
Children's Programs
We had no children with us on this cruise.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
we received excellent service from all of our service staff from cabin steward to wait staff. Very satisfied and could not ask for better service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was clean and well designed. She's an older ship and in the Madhatter's theater you could see that the lounges/couches were quite worn. But I understand she is scheduled for dry dock and upgrades February of 2020. We had no complaints, she's still a marvelous ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was more than adequate for our needs, was clean, comfortable and all amenities functioned properly. Our cabin was located under one corner of the Red Frog and so we did hear chairs scraping across the floor above us and on one night, we could hear the live music. But none of it so intrusive as to disturb our sleep. Also, when the twin beds are pushed together to form a single bed they need to use either velcro or a nonslip material under the mattresses in order to prevent them from sliding apart and making an uncomfortable gap in the center of the bed during...well, intimate activities.
Ship tip
There is only 1 power outlet in your cabin, so you should bring a small 3/4 port plug outlet adapter. Also, for anyone in an inside cabin, you need to understand that with no windows when the lights are turned off it is truly dark in there. Which is great for sleeping but if someone needs to get up in the middle of the night for the bathroom you need to bring along a small LED night light so you don't break a toe or worse in the dark.
We went to Las Caletas to see Rhythms of the Night. We can't recommend this excursion highly enough. It was simply amazing. Great entertainment both coming and going there, an excellent candlelit buffet dinner on the beach followed by the best show you could hope for. If you're doing this cruise, don't miss out on this excursion. Worth every penny and more.
