Review summary

Carnival forced passengers to wait up to 3 hours in cold rain and wind prior to boarding ship.  Herded them like cattle one after another.  Surprised Carnival representatives were not issued cattle pods.  Told them of health condition and was ignored.  As a consequence, spent majority of cruise in bed and am still trying to recover 2 1/2 weeks later.

Communication of ship's guest services, cruise director extremely poor.

Production shows were terrible and dining room service staff horrible.

We were on the same cruise. Yes we did have to wait for a couple of hours in the wet and cold but we took the time to enjoy each others company. The ship had a surprised inspection and so we had to wait to get on. Once the ship got on its way we had the best time. The food and service were amazing. We planned on having a great time and we did. We enjoyed the entertainment and all that was offered.

It's true that long beach does have a indoor waiting area but it takes quite a while to get there. We have cruised from long beach 4 time and each time it's utter confusion. Rain or shine your outside ! We eventually got on the ship and had a great time ! Food was amazing and the service was outstanding ! Can't wait to do it again !

In all my years of cruising and embarkation at many different ports I find it hard to believe that anyone would be waiting outside. Unless the person arrived hours before the specific time posted as the start time. Sure the boarding process can be a pain in the butt and not as fast as we would like but it is not a hell of a lot worse than some airports.

We arrived at the LB cruise Terminal and found a very long line which we joined. 2.5 hours after we got our S & S cards outside. Check in wad outside, not inside the dome.

We were on the same ship....shows were awesome and dining room was excellent. We were greeted everywhere we went.

Sometimes customs hold up boarding. nothing to do with cruise line.

Forced you to wait outside? It does take a bit to get thousands of people onto a ship in an orderly manner. Also it's a myth that cold and rain can make sick so you can't blame the weather. Seems you were well enough to go to all the shows and dinners to give them a poor rating. I'm sure another cruiseline would love to have you next time.

I find that hard to believe. cruise ports have indoor waiting areas.
