Review summary
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Entertainment in the Phantom Theatre was quite good and professional. Some of the other entertainment was not up to that standard. The cruise director, John was a delight; very witty and droll in his role as an emcee and host. Generally speaking, food was very good, no complaints. While most of the food was included in the cruise, bring your own soft drinks if you want any because they are expensive onboard. It was somewhat annoying that there was only one 120v receptacle in room. Take your own power strip. The Serenity Lounge was just that, quite relaxing. Even though it was rainy and cool, we enjoyed the ports of call. Our excursion to see a glacier was cancelled due to high winds. Excursion to see the whales was fun but also cold and rainy. All things considered, we would highly recommend this cruise.

Ship tip
Approach the Phantom Lounge on the 3rd or 4th floor, thereby avoiding a walk through the smoky casino on the 2nd floor. Plan to spend at least an hour if you eat in the Bacchus Restaurant, otherwise head up to deck 9 for faster dining.
