Review summary

I chose the cruise based on the date and ports of call (Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk). We have been on many cruises on different cruise lines however I was really impressed with Carnival on this trip. It really seemed like they were making huge upgrades especially with the food quality in the Dining Room, and the exceptional service of the staff.

We went to the Dining Room every night. Food was excellent, top-notch. It really seemed like they were making huge upgrades especially with the food quality in the Dining Room, and the exceptional service of the staff. Our Waitstaff included the I Kadek, Nim and Mahendra (an exceptional smiley person).

Tides Bar

This is actually a review of the Bar in Serenity. There was an excellent bar waiter Dusan, who made sure we were always "Well Watered"

I used the Fitness Room which was well equipped but toward the end of the cruise, several recumbent bikes and ellipticals were out of service (probably to be expected).

Great to hear...the food quality was one of the main reasons we quit Carnival along with the cigarette smoke and I am a former smoker. Booked the Magic for 10/19...can’t wait!
