October is still hurricane season. We went on one last year Oct. 2 and got far as New York from Baltimore . Carnival took care of us well. So this year we are going Nov. and got 50 % off.

I been on 13 cruises and this is the first I ever miss because of a hurricane, don't go when school is out.

May is awesome, we cruise every August with a group only once been diverted to another port, I'll take 4 extra cruise days for free anytime, lol.

Our preferred time is when the airfares half from Australia???????? Then we'll take it 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹

Hurricane season runs from June through November with peak hurricane season being late August through October. I definitely avoid cruising during that peak hurricane season period. My preferred month is May.

Yep just one of those things probably never happen again the same time .. just book and go if you think about bad things that's happening in the world you would never go anywhere.. 20 days until we leave Australia for our next adventure... 🍹😎

I do agree. I have travel during the hurricane season many times. I guess I have been fortunate, as I have never been directly affected or inconvenienced because of a storm.

October to April is what we will cruise now that all the kids have graduated. hurricane season is always risky

Hurricane Season is from June 1 until Nov. 30. This is really the peak cruise travel time. You must consider all the summer holidays that fall within this time period, not to mention the school kids summer vacation. These ships can typically navigate very well around storms and hurricanes.
