Review summary
We just finished our cruise on Carnival Magic. First time on this ship. It is a beautiful ship with plenty of places to go and enjoy. There were a number of people on this cruise, but we did not feel crowded. We had a balcony room on the 8th deck and loved it. Our cabin steward was wonderful, always taking care of the room and greeting us with "Hello, how was your day" or "Remember the sun block!" The food was very good and our wait staff was excellent. We ate one night at the Italian Dinning and it was out of sight. Well worth the up charge. Dr. E was our cruise director and can not say enough about his ability to run things and entertain. This was his last cruise on Magic, I am not sure where he goes from here, but I am sure he will do well. A couple of things that could be done better: There was on 2 nights of entertainment in the Entertainment Show area. Missed those extra evenings. Actually Dr. E could have used that room for his time, which was in the atrium and not enough seats. Pictures are still very pricey. They need to work on the elevators and not have any "X" out. Too many people needing to use them for any elevators not to be working. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and certainly would go on the Magic again.

Ship tip
Make sure you take advantage of deck 5 and the walk around outside deck. It is great and not many ships have this.
