Review summary

Our 50th celebration great, but my husband was disappointed in dinner menus. When we cruised with carnival before, if he didn't like something on the menu, he was able to order a steak. Now you have to pay an extra $20 for one. Overall, he felt food was not as good as previous cruises. Also, grandchildren were only able to be on rope course one day out of seven and that being for about one half hour. Was not open when they said it should be. Big disappointment!! However, we can't say enough good things about our waiter and our room steward. Rosie, room steward, made our stay very enjoyable! She is a wonderful person and hard worker. Anxious to try another cruise line!!

They do offer a filet and prime rib on certain nights in the dining room but even they are not the same as the ones you get in the steakhouse....they are still good but the steakhouse is excellent!!

They never offered the steaks they offer in the prime steak house on the regular menu...its a flat iron steak. They have recently added some of the steakhouse options for an extra cost but those particular steaks have never been on the diningroom menu before.

? We went a month ago and ordered steak, lobster and salmon and nothing was an extra charge. As much as we wanted.

I eat the flat iron steak every night. Too bad he didn't realize that. We are going in September.

We were on the magic in May, 2016 and I ordered flat iron steak twice. No charge and it was on the menu every night

I was on the Magic in January and if i didnt like the menu i got steak and did t pay extra. They always have a few staple foods in case someone doesnt like the choices..... Were u told this from a waiter?
