Review summary
Loved the ship, pretty, enormous, felt zero bounce and sway. Staterooms the standard Carnival size, very very clean and up to date. Time in Ports perfect. ( Although not much to do in Turks and Caicos for those who like to walk around or take a cab., this is simply a beach day)
As always, Carnival room attendants were the most dedicated, professional, kind people you will ever meet. The cocktail servers are nothing shy of performers themselves, dancing, laughing always fun. The bartenders looked stressed and over worked, I think the whole time I saw one smile, sadly. Some of the waiters in the Northern and Southern Lights had this same look, however the food service was impeccable.
Got the opportunity to eat at the Italian (pay) restaurant, it was delicious and the staff was fun and chatty.
The cruise director should have his own t.v. show, this man is so wonderful, charming and fun, I am sure people want to follow him around when he leaves the ship. A keeper for that cruise.
Comedians were hilarious, and the dancers of the 70's music were great to watch. Piano bar singer funny, as well as the bar singer in the Key West style bar.
Ok, here is where we could use a bit of tweaking..Guys burger stand, the pizza place and the burrito place are located on very very busy corners of the main decks, the lines snake all over the place, people that are hungry get frustrated when you want to walk through to get to another destination ( thinking you are cutting the line) this could be organized with a longer rope stand or line organizer, getting these people out of the way of the flow of traffic, also, staff more people during the lunch rush would avoid those lines.
Don't bother to get your child the endless bubbles ( soda plan) the bar is the only place to get soft drinks continuously throughout the day ( you can get them in dinner restaurants, but they are only open breakfast and dinner), and your child or teen gets to go up and try to wrestle a spot in a busy bar to get a drink, nearly impossible, and the bartenders see the child with the soda plan, and are not in a hurry to serve them. Better off bringing your own on board as many people do. ( my daughter was also taught to tip on each soda she was served, but did not get that many opportunities due to the wait times).
Security also needs to be better to monitor smoking on balcony's, we were on the second floor, and couldn't spend much time on our balcony, as were sandwiched between two chain smokers who never stopped smoking while outside.
That aside, it is well worth your time and money, you can't beat the stops or the price of this cruise. And don't forget your tip out at the end, we almost forgot, so be ready for approximately 85 per person when you leave.

Ship tip
Don't get crazy when you get in port, relax, you will get off in a timely fashion. You will not miss your excursion or miss any valuable time in port. Take advantage of room service when you are tired from a day out, and just want to relax and watch some t.v.
