Review summary
We have actually taken this cruise before and sailed on the Magic 4 or 5 times. What was disappointing this time frankly, was the staff. Many seemed to have some sort of chip on their shoulder (pointed it seems against Americans). At the casino, for example, (where I actually won so that is not the problem), the dealers were caustic towards some of the players. On two occasions, people got up and left the table.
The staff with the biggest problem seemed to be from the Ukraine and some (but by far not all) from Romania. Perhaps troubles at home caused the problem
The dinner service was not very good and the food was average, at best. NOt sure if we will do Carnival again or not.
