Review summary

The ship was outstanding. Can't say enough good about it. The Hotel Staff (booked by Carnival) was rude and we were really disgusted that a tour was listed for the day following our arrival (that's why we came in a day early) and then we were forced to take this tour within an hour of arrival if we didn't want to miss it.. We could have come in 2 days early to get rejuventated to take this tour had we known. This was a really bad start to what fortionately was a fabulous cruise.

Food and Dining

Food was quite good. We would have liked more vegetables served witht he entres in the dining room. The fish offerings were very good and well prepared.

Entertainment

The entertainment was superb except for the commediene. Not only was he not funny he was offensive (and this was at the 10:30 show). We were told by others he was even worse at the midnight show. Thumbs down to him but all of the rest was just great.

Service and Staff

Outstanding. We saw conflicts resolved (although not our own) with the greatest of diplomacy and tact. The Ship Staff was very impressive! We can't say enough good about them.

Wonderful. Our cabin was always clean, fresh towels, and more than expected. Friendly staff was always appreciated!

Ports of call

Expectations were not set. We were told about all the things we could do at this port but had to stand in lines so long to use bathroom facilities we saw very little. More time should be allowed or expectations set. There was way too much pushing us to shop at Isl of Capri. If you were not a shopper this was annoying!

Don't Miss: Mountserrat

Pros: The ship, the staff, the cruise director and the ports of call were all fabulous

Cons: We really were annoyed that after coming in a day early to take the Holy Rome tour on the next day we were forced to take it the day we arrived. We had been up for 26 hours, were jet lagged. The staff was rude and we got off to a poor start.
