I would surely do it again. We went in early August and weather was absolutely beautiful. No rain but a jacket felt good. I purchased a hooded parka on the ship for $40.00. Has Carnival logo and pretty good quality too. Glaciers are melting at a fast rate. Don’t wait and miss out.
Embarkation

Went well even with the many times they check our boarding pass etc., but thankful they do.
Security first.
Ship experiences

Overall food was great especially in the Steak House. No complaints at all. Guy’s burger made my lunch a real treat. The waiters were great, especially our waiter, Hardi.
Onboard Activities

Ice carving, art auctions, music, and some games were fun. Exploring the ship and finding the shops, library, chapel etc. was fun
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Didn’t see any shows but the musicians and vocalist around the ship were great.

Ship Quality
4 out of 5
All good with the exception of the casino. Smoke was really bad. Need to improve air quality.
We did a lot of walking but really enjoyed it.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Seemed small at first but found it very comfortable and met my needs completely.
Cabin clean and everything in good condition.
Linens very nice and mattress was extremely comfortable. My daughter and son-in-law had a extended balcony cabin on deck 5. Very nice.
Ship tip
You can expect to be treated well and to have a great cruise. If you need something or have a question, just ask. I found every crew member went out of their way to help. Be polite to them and let them know you appreciate them.
Another great day. Went whale watching and again enjoyed it very much. Saw many whales too.I believe we used M and M tours in all of our excursions and would use them again.
My son-in-law took the tram and went on a hike that he said was beautiful and fun.
The town was fun and went in some of the more famous sites. The capital building was closed being a weekend as were other stores that don’t cater to tourists. But lots to see.
Very small town and think that’s what makes it so interesting. Took a tour around the town and out of town and saw many bald eagles and salmon in the streams. Saw some totem poles too.
Went to the bear area but no luck with that. Bears really don’t live on our schedule but still a great time. All of our tour guides were great. They really know a lot about the town’s history and nature. They made many stops so you can get out and walk around and that makes the tour special.
Skagway was interesting and fun. Many shops that are mainly for tourists but nice to browse.
Took the narrow rail train and that was very enjoyable. Highly recommend the train.
We took the 3 plus hour trip that gave us time to see the sights and have lunch in town.
We went to the famous market and Pikes fish market and enjoyed all the shops and the beautiful flowers for sale. Had breakfast at a very old restaurant and enjoyed it.
Also visited the Boeing company museum. Very interesting if you like airplanes.
A very busy city with lot’s of traffic.
Not much time in Victoria. Late in afternoon and not time to really tour the more notable sites in daylight. Still made the best of it and found a local restaurant that was nice. But did step foot in Canada and all is good.
Beautiful mountains with snow capped peaks. Some glaciers and some icebergs with seals resting on them. Windy if you’re on the open deck but the view worth it.
