The cruise was fantastic! The only problem that we had pertains to my Guide Dog’s relieving area. This is something most people do not deal with.
I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone.

No problem at all here.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I am only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the menus in the MD was a bit boring. On the other hand, Guy’s Burgers and The Blue Iguana were great!
Truffles Restaurant

The food was good, the menu was just boring. I do recommend the tomato juice as it tastes freshly squeezed and the tomato soup on the brunch menu. Also the vegetarian lasagna was delicious. The wait staff is fun and nice.
Onboard Activities

Hubby, my Guide Dog, and I went to an event to prepare us for in port Alaska. Our names were put in for drawings. Hubby ‘s name was drawn and he won a draw string bag filled with a nice picture frame, $40 BINGO Cards, and a bottle of champagne.
At the BINGO game, we were given sombreros and maracas. I also won a colorful poncho.
Later we attended an Embarkment Meeting where I won a new hand bag with the logo of the Carnival Legend.
The Fun Shops

There was a man named Sebastian who when we just happened by a line of people waiting for the store to open, I stopped to find out what was going on. This employee so rudely told me “ That Dog has to go!” Excuse me?” Was my reply. He repeated it several times. I tried to tell him that by law my dog can go ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, as long as no food is being prepared or there is no anesthesia being administered.

The photographers here, especially David went out of their way to make my dog smile. This is hard to do sometimes.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We attended the musical shows in the Follies Theatre. The cast was great! On the last night as we walked out, I literally bumped into one of the members then told him that my Guide Dog and I would like to have our pics taken with him. He took my hand and told me to go with him. Hubby, my Guide Dog, Chuck, and I all had our pics taken without waiting in line.
Children's Programs
I don’t have any young children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The Cruise Director, Jen is the BEST that we have ever had out of 5 cruises! Our waiter Jon Raymond and his team from the Truffles Restaurant always took very good care of us.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I normally get lost easily, especially on a ship. But this one was the easiest for me to find my way around and I’m legally blind.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin was handicapped accessible. There was plenty of room and it was always clean.
Ship tip
If you are taking a Service Dog, be sure that he/she will have no problems using different types of “litter”. Though we have since talked to Carnival about this, what was used here was a puppy litter similar to rabbit pellets.
This port was nice and sunny. We went on a bus tour of the city. This ended with a delicious Salmon Bake in which the fish steaks were cooked over a fire outside. It was so GOOD!
This was the northern most part of our trip that we took. Though in the 50’s, the winds made the temps feel much colder.
Here we started our day with a Bordello Breakfast and tales of the old Saloon and the late Saloon Girl, Cad.
From there we went to an old cemetery and a short tour of the city. Then we chose to stay in town for shopping.
The views here were breathtaking! With my hearing and sight loss, I missed out, but my hubby witnessed the Glaciers calving. He even saw an orca! The Park Ranger came onboard was very knowledgeable.
I think this was my favorite of the ports. We went to the Totem Bite National Park. The Totem Poles and the stories behind them were so magical. Some were sad. The craftsmanship is amazing.
We went up in the Space Needle. With a Military Discount, the cost is about $30 per person. There are FREE digital pics taken that you can download.
The views are spectacular!
