Carnival does a great job on the Alaskan cruise, would love to do this one again. Their naturalist on board was very good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was all very good no matter if you were eating from the buffet or main dining room.

Redfrog Pub

5 out of 5

Fun bar, great atmosphere and very friendly servers

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools and hot tubs were all very nice, the indoor pool was especially nice considering the cold Alaskan air. The out door hot tubs were never crowded.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The comedy shows are always great to see on Carnival

Cabin / Stateroom

Typical balcony room very roomy and clean.

Ship tip

If you are able to get the balcony room when sailing Alaska, its worth the extra money on this one for your own private views

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Fun city with interesting history. Did the underground tour, which was somewhat disappointing but did offer some great historic stories. Space needle was cool, glass museum was very interesting as well.

Skagway, Alaska

Favorite port on this cruise, did the speed ocean raft execution here and a bus trip to the summit and into the Yukon. The ocean raft was so much fun and informative with a naturalist on board. The bus trip took us to see many beautiful scenery and got to stop for photos along the way. Did both excursions with plenty of time left to shop in town. Highly recommend the Skagway brewery, try the spruce tip beer best beer ever.

Juneau, Alaska

nice town with good shopping area. Did a tour of the Alaskan Brewery here, awesome place. Went to their store and purchased the tour for $20 includes your transportation there and back and generous amount of beer samples.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Very cute town only wish we were given more time here. Did some shopping and the duck tour which was very nice. We purchased our tickets for the duck tour months in advance directly on their website, it sells out fast.

Victoria, British Columbia

Did not really enjoy this stop, the time you are here is weird hours and not much to do, just your typical city .

Disembarkation

Our debarkation was quick and smooth, I've never done priority so I'm not sure how fast that gets you off the ship. We always schedule flights for the next day to avoid any possible headaches. Sorry I can't be of more help.

There were no crab meals on the ship, but there was lobster one night in the main dinning room. For crab I highly recommend Tracy's king crab shack in Juneau, best crab legs I've ever had.

Stanya09 we will have priority debarkation, would we be able to make a 1:55 pm flight. I don’t want to be rushed at the airport.

We went last April. The Naturalist was a nice addition. On our way back to Seattle she announced that we should look outside from any spot on the ship. Whales were everywhere. It was a wonderful site.
