Carnival Legend was nice, but it had some wear and tear, however the crew was excellent. Had obstructed view balcony which was perfect for whale watching. Food was typical Carnival, average fare, the specialty steak restaurant was pricey but excellent. Sports bar concept needs work, comedy club was excellent.

We loved our Alaskan cruise and felt that it was the trip of a lifetime. We normally cruise the eastern or western Caribbean but wanted to do something different. We were pleasantly surprised as this was a great way to see Alaska. The ship, Carnival Legend was nice, but it had some wear and tear, however the crew was excellent. We flew into Seattle two days before sailing which proved to be a highlight of the trip. We had an obstructed view balcony which was great for whale watching and other activities. The food was typical Carnival but was good, we did go to the specialty steak house one night which runs and extra $100+ for two people but was well worth it.

Overall very good, but had trouble getting ice. It seems there was a shortage of ice buckets.
Ship Quality

Older ship, showed wear and tear. No Guy's burger joint and the Sports Bar was not well managed. Many times we had to get our drinks at an adjoining bar. Only ESPN 1 & 2, very limited selection. Loved the Serenity deck, but they were short on blankets.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved this room, great view at a reduced price.
Ship tip
Bring your own blanket for the serenity deck as they have a shortage. Also may need to bring your own ice bucket, they ran short on those as well.
Flew in two days early and had a blast! Space Needle, Pike's Market, the Piers, Capitol Hill and the Original Starbucks were all worth it. We needed more time to see underground Seattle but maybe next time.
I loved carnival food better then Royal Caribbean! guess I love the fact that you could get frog legs etc. Waiter on RC gave me a weird look when I asked why they don't have it ..
