Review summary

We have cruised with Carnival for a long time. In fact we have 35 cruises with them. In fact we are at the Diamond scale on their VIFP program. The last couple have been terrible. The officers have been very rude and seam to only be there for their pay check. I really do not think that the crew needs to be getting drunk in the Red Frog lounge as well. Now to the food. The quality of the food has gone way down over the past few years as well. I am sure that people that do not cruise as much as we do would think that everything is great but we have seen a big change in Carnival over the past years. We have been on many other cruise lines and their standard is far higher and the cost is equal. We will definitely be cruising on other lines from now on. It really seem like they are becoming the Wal Mart of the seas and we hate to see that.

So what if your a diamond vip. No one twisted your arm to cruise carnival. Have fun going on other cruise ships, the staff on those lines can put up with your whinging snobby attitude.

I feel Carnival has improved greatly, moving from only party ships to family ships to the new Vista!

@Bonut, nothing gets under my skin more than people calling Carnival the Walmart cruiseline. If it was coming from the folks that cruise Queen Mary and such all the time it wouldn't bother me. Although they probably have enough class that they don't waste their time. Funny thing is, it's always compared by people who just want to think they are better. They know who they are. They don't realize that we all see the same complaints, posts with grammar mistakes etc. I know not all the people on this unnamed cruiseline feels this way but this is for the ones who like to spout off "Walmart" and "Macy's " in their comments. That's okay though...like you said, just about everyone shops at Walmart. Some just won't admit it. Apparently Walmart and Carnival know what they're doing.

I think that the entire cruise industry has changed since all of these uppity old folks started cruising. A lot of people shop at Walmart now. They are a very successful company for a reason.

I have never seen crew members doing anything but work or hang out at a free wifi spot in port.

We had a Q & A with the cruise director on the Breeze a couple of weeks ago. From a question that was asked, I guarantee that you did not see the crew getting drunk in the Red Frog Pub. Good try though. 😏
