A great time! by KimH12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Good ship, nice folks, great food. Only disappointment are the once extravagent late night buffets. I hope they will no longer be a thing of the past and will be brought back.

overall it was fantastic my husband was really thrilled and had the best time in his life he was out all night dancing and making friends with everybody young and old it was his first time to cruise and he loved it and now telling all his friends to save money to come to the cruise.he even has all his pictures posted in facebook and advertising how good it was that is why i`m teasing him to get a job in the cruising for promoting how wonderful and well rested he was in this vacation of his.

The perfect summer cruise! by KarenQ2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Recommend the Verandah deck for minimum boat motion and for great vistas from your balcony. Room service breakfast is highly recommended! Great shore excursion in Halifax to Peggy's Cove and Titanic -- ask for Charles as your tour guide! Jorge is a truly gifted cruise director and a great stand-up comedian. Make sure you check out the piano bar with Bruce from Scotland -- great guy, very entertaining and interactive!

Great cruise. Service was fantastic. by JamieC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

My first cruise. Impressed with the ship size and offerings. Great service all around. Funny cruise director. Food was good. The Steakhouse was terrific. My only complaint is it seemed the casino withheld some funds when collecting from player bank.

Girl Scouts had the times of their lives by ColleenG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship was beautiful and absolutely spotless in the areas we walked and visited. All waitstaff and housekeeping employees we encountered were pleasant and ready to please. When any Carnival employee passed us by, we were always greeted with a smile.

Too many kids by DiannaA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This is a great cruise if you are taking your children. But if you are single or a couple and want to get away from the kids, then it brings down the whole point of vacation. Carnival does a great job pampering to the needs of people with great food and services, but the lack of parenting skills from other take the whole feeling away. Honestly, Carnival should have a whole floor for kids only and another only for adults. Kids should not be part of the late dinners. There should be a pool for adults only. If parents knew how to take care of their children and had stronger parenting skills then I would I had a blast.

Fun for the whole family by DianneJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Recently refurbished, the ship was in good condition. All areas were well maintained and generally very clean. It has been a while since my last cruise, but I thought there were more entertainment options in the past. We did attend two shows, but had to stand both times as seating was full. This would be our fault as we did not bring watches with us, and the only clocks we saw were near the elevators or on TV. If we were having fun on some other part of the ship, it was easy to forget about the time. We enjoyed the over 21 sun deck. There were adult-only hot tubs, but we encountered guests who brought their children in anyway. Dining options were ok. With a few exceptions, the food was typical banquet fare. Our stateroom was roomy and well-attended to. The stateroom staff was excellent.

Room for improvement by BethC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

The ship was in good condition and we had an balcony room that was nice and always clean. Overall, we were most disappointed by the food in both the dining room and the buffet.

Disappointed by SusanB20

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We have traveled on Carnival and Princess in the past and never had an issue. We found this cruise on the Glory to be substandard compared to the many other cruises we have been on. You get what you pay for; this cruise was priced less than the other cruises leaving New York and this was reflected in the food and services. It started off with us being waitlisted for the early seating. The first thing we did when we got on the ship was see the Maitre D' to request a change to early seating. The request was denied - so much for being a loyal past customer obviously our loyalty to the Carnival brand was not reciprocated. We made the best of it. We are both professionals that work early hours and our son were not up to staying up for the 10:30 shows so we did not get an opportunity to see the shows. The weather was nice and there was not much to see in the Canadian ports. Overall, the food was not good. It was not up to the level that we had experienced on past cruises. We would not recommend this cruise.

Had a really nice time by Donna14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship is beautiful and very, very clean. Our room had a balcony and was a nice size room for a cruise ship. We had room 7448 which is the back the ship on the Empress Deck. Loved watching sunsets each evening. We went on this ship with 2 other couples, and chose it because we wanted to leave out of NY.

A very enjoyable cruise by JackieS4

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship was beautiful. We enjoyed having a variety of places to dine. We had to wait in long lines at times for pizza and the Mongolian Wok though. They were very popular places. The jumbo tron outside was awesome, but I would still have enjoyed having the option of an indoor movie theater on the ship. Embarkation and debarkation went smoothly although we were a little amiss by the initial greeting. There was only one person that pointed to a long hallway when we boarded and we eventually found the elevator at the end of it. No one else seemed to be around at the time to greet the passengers. It was a bit lonely. In fact we walked the long hallway not even seeing anyone else. Overall though, it was a great experience and we enjoyed our cruise very much.
