Review summary

The ship was beautiful and absolutely spotless in the areas we walked and visited. All waitstaff and housekeeping employees we encountered were pleasant and ready to please. When any Carnival employee passed us by, we were always greeted with a smile.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Whether it was the Lido Deck, the Platinum Restaurant, or the Emerald Steak House, our meals were always delicious. The ambiance of these areas were very pleasing to the eye.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were able to do just about everything we wanted. We didn't have conflicts with activities which meant we didn't have to choose between a Comedy Show or a show in the Amber Theater.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every waitstaff person we encountered always greeted us with a smile. We would like to send a special "thank you" to the Maitre'de of the Platinum Restaurant.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
In the beginning, the layout was a little confusing. All the public areas were clean. The only issue we had was the smoking areas, because we needed to walk through such area (casinos, etc.) to get to certain places.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
When I was booking our trip, seven Girl Scouts and two Leaders, we were going to have three interior cabins. We decided to get three oceanview staterooms - so glad we upgraded! When we entered our cabins, we couldn't believe how spacious they were! Our cabins had everything we needed. The cabins had a huge window, 3/4 bath, television, and plenty of storage space a teenage girl could use!

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We decided on the Peggy's Cove/Titanic excursion. When we exited we were pleasantly surprised at the shops before going on our excursion - all our Girl Scouts found souvenirs in these shops. The day we were in port it was sunny and warm. We took a walk along the boardwalk while waiting for our tour. Nova Scotia was absolutely breathtaking! We definitely recommend this excursion.
Don't Miss: Peggy's Cove and Titanic cemetary site

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
It rained the day we ported in St. John, New Brunswick. We were going to do the Horse-drawn Trolley excursion, but decided against so since it did rain. We did, however, find an indoor marketplace and our Girl Scouts had no problem shopping for a few hours.

Pros: Traveling with teens - 24 hour pizza, of course!

Cons: Due to an error by Carnival, we never sat together in our designated restaurant during our entire cruise.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!
