Not So Hot by Michele75815033

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Was disappointed with the layout of the ship; took longer than usually to become acclimated. Our cabin was also close to the theater so noise level was an issue. Ship was very clean. Most of the staff friendly and accommodating. Difficulty changing our dinner time and with obtaining drink coupons that I purchased prior to cruising. Quality of food and lines at the buffet were definitely a negative. Wouldn't rate this cruise as high as my last Carnival trip about 10 years ago. Will probably go back to RCL or NCL.

never again will I book out of NYC by Smith

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was the worst cruise we have ever experienced. It was nothing but lines, lines lines...from the time we got to the terminal to the bar lines to the food lines to the dinner lines. and upon arrival we got this letter saying we could not board because of sickness. we had to wait 6 hours just to get on the ship. No boarding parties no welcome aboard nothing. the next day was not better and it continued like this the whole trip.

Big Disappointment by BernadettePedicini

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Very disappointing. Boarding was delayed. Forced to STAND for over 2 hrs. with nowhere to sit. Nothing but long lines, and passengers were treated like cattle. Many passengers were omplaining. Food was fair. Room services and housekeeping never answered the phone, and unable to reach front desk. Ordered room service for breakfast, but was never delivered. Saw many dirty dishes and uncleaned tables, but there was always someone around to SELL you a drink.

Not the best cruise of my life by Svetlan84362137

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I believe that team and staff was doing the best they could. I did not like that the free drink that I was offered I only could use in the dinning area and only during breakfast, lunch or brunch. I think I should have a flexibility of using it in the bar. It's just one drink for a limited amount of people. I don't thing the company will go broke.

Fun cruise! by BarbaraL1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The ship was very large but I never felt that I was on a boat. No sea sickness at all. The bed was comfortable and the cabin well designed to fit all of our items.

A wonderful cruise but..... by KarenB2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

As soon as we got on board vacation began. The ship seemed like Las Vegas on steroids with the over the top decor but was fun and entertaining. There were plenty of activities for all, even though the large screen on deck did not show movies this week, only Olympics. The food was very good and never in short supply. In the dining rooms the portions were very appropriate so I never felt stuffed, very nicely presented and very interesting. The help on board was the best. From our wonderful cabin steward - shout out to Felix!, to some humorous and attentive waiters - yay Antonio and Anthony (Tony the tiger), the addressed us by our names and never ceased to smile. One highlight was when they began to dance on the tables at dinner - took us totally by surprise. Unfortunately, three days into the trip a stomach bug began going around the ship. Passengers were notified via the PA system of the occurrence and were reminded throughout the day to carefully wash hands. Unfortunately, by the end of day 4 I caught the bug in the middle of the night. The night nurse attended to me more than promptly but I had to spend the entire next day in isolation in my cabin. Believe me - I couldn't go out if I had wanted to! I don't know how wide-spread the illness was. I was the only one in my party to get it but the others said there were many \"snoozin' \" tags hanging on cabins the last day. Never-the-less, I'd take this cruise again and would highly recommend it. I enjoyed every minute that I physically was able to and the good memories far outnumber a bad illness. :)

Good Locations but Mediocre Ship and Foo by KevinVance

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The ship was clean but dated. Our two staterooms were clean but needed to be updated - the carpeting was worn and the room had a smell of smoke.

Extremely clean by JohnP84268708

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The service was truly exceptional. The attitude of the crew was delightful...a bit of fun, a great deal of respect, and truly responsive. We have sailed in the past primarily on longer trips with fewer children (usually during the school year). The \"mad house\" around the main pool was just too loud...and prevented relaxing.

Great Time by TedM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship was clean as can be for the amount of people .The crew was friendly. The room we had they cleaned it twice a day which I was shocked (not used to people waiting on me ).Wehad no problem boarding the ship or leaving very fast .I was surprised (maybe because we got a suite). The food was great and lots of it. You cant amagine how much food.If you didnt gain at least 5 pounds you have good control on what you eat.(Igained 8 but was worth it now I will work it off). This was our first trip and we are not sorry .
