carnival glory by sunishaw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

everything was great, this were very organized and smooth sailing to get started. the food was good but not so great in the dinning at night. brunch steaks were so much better that night time. the room was very spacious we stayed in I will never go again without a balcony! The cruise director on our boat was the best of the 4 cruises we have been on. we will go again hopefully on a Alaska cruise in the near future.

why to have a tittle? by Juanrivero

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Getting in the C Glory was fast and easy, the cabin clean and organized, so it was everyday during the trip the group cleaning very fast always happy and eager to help. You could smell the sewer system in the bathroom every time you flushed the toilet. Food specially desserts not that good is a lot better at NCL, some of the shows good but not as many as for a 7 days cruise. At time of leaving a disaster very slow even where the luggage was waiting the #s where not cosequtive ours was 12 and #s when to 10 and them some lower #s. People in wheel charis had a hard time moving.Shore excursion people OK but the other desk unhappy all the time and not to eager to solve problems or to acomodate your needs.

wonderful stops by cccaudle

We really took this cruise to see the fall colors. Apparently it was too early for that but the ports we stopped in were phenomenal! Loved...loved...loved this cruise!

Excellent Northern Cruise trip by Letsride

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was a great cruise, especially because I didnt have to fly to get to NY. The length was good, not to short, not to long. The weather could not have been better, only 2 1/2 hours of rain for the eight days. The only port that didnt impress us was St Johns. Would have liked to have gone to Bar Harbor as one of the ports. The lunches and dinners were great but the breakfasts were horrible. No breakfast menu change for eight mornings gets old. The entertainment was superior! We were traveling with two good friends which made it all that more enjoyable. Other than a few crew members that didnt speak very good english the staff was great. Matt our cruise director was the hardest working guy on the ship, very funny and personable. I would cruise Carnival again......

New England and Canada........my first cruise by tootsielou

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I use a wheelchair, as I am paralyzed, this was my first cruise. I booked a suite for my aide and myself. It was completely worth it. Lots of room and a roll in shower. We are both vegetarian and found the food to be excellent. My only negative comment is that the Portland-Kennebunkport excursion I booked fell through. They said I had to contact them 24 hours before the excursion. I booked it months in advance, paid for it, called Carnival to assure I got it, so I was very disappointed when they told me, the day of the excursion, that I could not go because there was no room for me. They did refund my money, but I was very disappointed. Other than that.....everything was great!

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was a wonderful trip trough NE and Canada. Saw some things we haven't seen before. Previous cruises was to the Caribbean. The ship was older than the last cruise but well maintained, clean and neat. On board entertainment was great. Matt our cruise director was a great "host".

Exceeded our expectations by Macaroni1595375

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I was a little wary of Carnival for all the obvious reasons. I was wrong. The food was the best, and my wife and I have cruised ALL the other major lines. The embarkation and disembarkation was fast and smooth. The crew was friendly. The comedy club was great. Port excursions were good. The Pub crawl in St. Johns was the best!!!

Very good cruise by IHATESURVEYS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The cruise north from New York was very good. As normal the food and service was outstanding. This is why we like Carnival Cruises the most value for the buck and they don't nickel dime you for everything just some things. New this cruise was a small charge for cappuccino coffee at dinner. The only real complaint we had was the mattress on our bed. We said something and the Stewart put a pad on top which help.

carnival glory canada cruise by carnvialcruisr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I would like to say that this carnival cruise was excellent. The cruise director Matt and asst. director Everson were great. Had alot of activities for us to do and very cordial and friendly. The food service in the platnium dining room was excellent, super fast service by Elder and Kirk who also were very friendly and food was excellent there. Loved Guy's hamburger joint and the burrito station too. Also went to the Emerald room for dinner one night and service and food was excellent. Room was very clean and she catered to our every needs. Well done Carnival.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

our 7 day cruise to canada from nyc could have been better. no more mid-night buffet or dessert extravaganza. very disappointing! food just so-so--nothing to write home about. cameras always stuck in your face. shows lacked content and not enough of them. other than that, not bad. ha! ha! ha! booked on another carnival in december. hope it is better than the glory. not so glorious! bummer!

Had a good time...but a few dissapointments by colossians3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Very Organized...We Loved the Cruise Director...he made the trip...great attitude and made us all laugh so much. He and his staff went above and beyond. Very Clean Ship....Great Service...Good buffets! Dinner in the Dining room, not...very small portions and some poor food quality....Late night pizza and sandwiches...like what you would find in a school cafeteria. Comfortable beds, pillows, linens....Loved our balcony but older drapes, wrinkled bed skirts looked shabby and needed refurbishing.

canada by movies

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was one of our best cruises. The food and service were perfect. The music in the club areas were wonderful. The large room shows were good, but I think they should haven chosen music for and older audience as there were very few young people on the boat. No problems getting and off the boat. Our favorite spot on the boat was the heated, salt water, adults only pool.

Experienced other cruise lines, 1st time with Carnival, possibly last. by doritb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Fair experience as expected but nothing too exciting or memorable... As expected, good food, good service all around, comfortable rooms but unexpectedly, low level & very POOR entertainment & especially since Carnival prides itself on being a "family" type cruise line to attract families with children (& there were a lot of children on-board), the entertainment in most cases was NOT suitable for children & sometime even borderlines on being X rated! Also on a personal note: On the Cruise's 3rd day at sundown, Rosh-Hashannah begun IE: the Jewish New-Year which is one of the MOST IMPORTANT HOLIDAYS on the Jewish Calendar & there was NO (zero) public announcement, any mentioning, greetings & or good wishes from the cruise management or stuff nor anything was offered to the Jewish passengers like some Holiday symbols such as candles, Challah bread or the very inexpensive sweet Kosher wine thus, this show of indifference & disrespect was very OFFENSIVE & disappointing. FYI: other cruise lines I have been on do offer on Friday nights a Shabbat Service to those who are interested & I can assume that something was announced & or offered also, for this important Holiday.

Pleasantly suprised by Carnival! by AvlsNyc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I've heard mixed reviews about the Carnival cruise lines but there deals just cannot be beat. We booked the 5 day Canada cruise from NYC and were pleasantly surprised. The cruise was fun packed and well organized, just like the more expensive cruise lines.

disappointment with staff of Carnival pertaining to dinner times by melw14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I was very upset with the manner in which the dinner times were handled. specifically, We and another couple made reservations for Anytime Dining. Ours was anytime but the other couple was given a late dining time. We complained and were told that the 1st evening would be Anytime Dining but a note would be placed in out mailbox before the 2nd night. My dining was changed to Late and the other couple received three (3) cards stating everything was denied. We then went to Guest Services stating questioning the ability of the dining staff since they are not on duty at 4:00 P.M. It was amazing that this was resolved and both couples were able to dine together at Anytime Dining. It was very irritating to constantly be kept on edge with the possibility of not being able to dine together since we both received confirmation initially that we would dine together. It is certainly pleasurable to be able to cruise with fiends. Yet, you made it very distasteful with your actions. We have been on cruises for over twenty-five (25) years and am not anticipating utilizing Carnival again.

They are not doing it again by sciguy4u

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I enjoyed the cruise but to bad that this is the last time they are doing the 5 day. For those of us who can't get away for 7 days this was the perfect cruise. In their wisdom they are not doing this cruise again. They will add Boston for their fall lineup but for those who work this is not an option. Also Boston is a useless stop as the port is so far away from anywhere you are forced to spend for a taxi and such. Overall the cruise was good. don't expect much from the buffet as it is crowded and food just eh.... The dinning room was nice and food was good. Overall I liked this cruise and would tell you to find the boat.....
