Casino and Arcade AWFUL! by marycavanagh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The WORST experience was the dismissive nature of the casino and arcade workers- when I was with my husband they were very helpful, when I was by myself rude, arrogant, and downright dismissive. Are woman not people too?

The service on the Carnival Glory was excellent. I really enjoyed meeting and interacting with the Dining Room Staff. I had the best Cabin Stewart. They were very responsive to my husband and my needs.

Carnival Glory | Oct 01, 2016 | Eastern Caribbean by romarblanco

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It is difficult to indicate a favorite event as all the scheduled events  were great,  were well organized and excellently performed with great quality of service.  The food was excellent and so was the the staff, friendly and helpful, they daily went out their ways to make us feel very pampered.    The beaches were great, although as a beach, we enjoyed more "Half Moon Cay" than "T & C"...Also, all the shows were fabulous.  It was in deed a "fun ship".

Great family fun. by NancyCrowe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ports were great.  Half Moon Key is the most beautiful beach.  Grand Turk is great fun in the pool.  The free umbrellas on the beach were wonderful protection from the sun.  San Juan offers lots of history and St. Thomas has good shopping.  So, a pretty rounded trip in all.

good by markewa90525587

1.Latin music was favorite part. 2. I was disappointed that there was no appreciation party for loyal customers. 3. Hard rock band played too loud.4. Mahogany Bay and Belize made very good impression on me. 5 I wish cruise offered dance classes . 6. I was very concerned about safety of the ship and passangers when the ship stooped in the middle of the sea to pick up 5 people from small boat who later were found to be Cuban immigrants. I believe instead of picking them up the ship should provide them with food and water if needed and inform the Coast Guard.

Wonderful cruise!!!! by nabs777

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Booking the cruise was so easy and our agent took yield to answer all questions! The carnival Glory seven day cruise was perfect...the itinerary was relaxed and a nice mix of excursions off shore and days at sea! The best part for me was the wonderful crew and staff on the Glory!!!  Friendly, respectful and made sure we had a fun experience and felt special.

The only down side was the smoking in the casino.  We would have enjoyed a little time checking it out but the smoke was unbearable.   Maybe a small no smoking area?????Love

Great Cruise by trueworshipper4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

There were five couples (all friends) who went on this cruise.  It was a really great cruise.  The ship was beautiful.  The only complaint would be that around Day 5 the food got to be a bit repetitive and the desserts weren't good at all.  It was  a great trip overall and I would recommend

First time cruise by Cruiser18140480

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The staff on the cruise were AMAZING! I've never seen a group of people work harder. Our waiters, Dom and Walter, and room steward, Kevin, went above and beyond to make our trip special!! We enjoyed the shows that the cruise had, they were a lot of fun! We went to a comedy show and a "Rockin' Ages" show that were both fantastic. We went snorkeling in Belize and got to see a Mayan pyramid in Mexico. Both of which were on our "bucket lists". Next time we'll save more money so we can do more excursions. Our only complaint was we didn't realize how much "extras" cost. We didn't know that we'd have to pay for things like bottled water and soda. We also spent a lot on tips off the ship. We knew that an extra $100 for each of us would be added to our bill to tip the ship staff, which we were more than happy to give. They earned it! Just didn't expect to spend another $200 on drinks and cash tips. All in all we had a wonderful time! Now we know what to plan for and will be more prepared for next time.....we're saving up to go again!

Solid experience by dms554

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The overall experience was fine.  The environment was relaxing or exiting depending on your preference which continues to make cruising a preference of ours.  However, I was continually disappointed in the decreases in service quality, meal selection, and overall cleanliness of the ship that have been made to save money I am sure.  The cost of the cruise is not decreased to reflet the same, of course.  Most of the staff went out of their way to assure our time on the ship was fantastic to the best of their ability and what they had to work with, especially because they aren't given a salary, their only compensation is the gratuities they recieve.  Either prepaid or additionally provided by travelers for exceptional service.  The excursions we purchased were very fun.  We were always back to the pier in plenty of time to make the ship amd the staff on the excursions was exceptional!  I will be exploring other options for cruise companies for my next cruise.

Fun Ship? by skunkherder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Main Dining was great.  Breakfast...meh, worst bacon I have ever had.  Always crowded for breakfast and lunch.  Guy's Burger Joint was outstanding.  Taco bar was pretty good, too.  Clean ship.  Nice room.  Staff was not as friendly as other cruises we have taken.  Evening shows were pretty good. We went to the family friendly comedian shows- the comedians clearly didn't have much family friendly material and basically just talked to people in the audience and tried to make fun of them.  We didn't do any excursions through Carnival, since they charge 60% more than the operators themselves.  Check out Island Marketing Ltd for that.  A lot of the same tours, at significantly lower price.  We had some private tours, since we were the only ones who signed up.  Activities on board were surprisingly few.  They had trivia, and the usual events for shopping, gambling a drinking.  But as far as other things, it was pretty slim, which meant the Lido deck was almost always completely packed with people.  Also, if you have the 8:15 dinner, you will miss out on a lot of the evening events, since they schedule a lot that overlap that time slot. (Some are duplicated at a later time, some are done earlier, but many are not.)  This is likely our last Carnival.  We have had much better experiences all around on Royal Caribbean (2 cruises) and Princess (1 cruise) than we have on our 2 Carnival Cruises...though they did cost a bit less.
