Glory Oct. 22 by nlb1050

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 22 cruise so we have seen a lot.  We did not mind the American Table but there were some things that Carnival has changed on the menus that they need to go back to the older recipes, but of course we were able to find things to eat every night. Our main problem was our cabin, #6258, it is located over the very back of the theater and we could hear the music from there very easily so I would not recommend this cabin or any further in front.  We do not gamble so I can not tell anything about the casino. We did not find any shows in the theater that appealed to us and this has been a problem for us with Carnival for the last few years.

We did  some excursions with the ship and enjoyed them all.

Overall the ship is in very good shape and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Good trip over all. by patel7406

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very good services by room staff, Mr. Ediarta .Even main dinning room our table waiters Mr. Jurie Mr. Rowel, Miss Blanka. Great great  job by all three. Food was not that good .Vegetarian food was same every day, need more choices. There was no Indian sweets Naan ,Chapatti.

My wife had gold card (room key card) in 2012. But some how this trip it was Red. We did not under stand ,why did it happened. Need some answers.

We notice that body wash and shampoo was water down. Not Good.  Another thing no toping for self served ice cream. Our last trips we had very nice stuff.

self served beer, It says 14 oz. But when we pour  it  only 11.95 oz. That is worst. (Beer it self is good.) We tried two times both time results are same. Less Beer for More Money.

We hope our next cruise will be batter then this.

Thank You.

Great Time by gaylelb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The overall cruise was great. I would like to see better evening entertainment. More interesting food choices at the buffet. The clock time posted in more areas, and the weather conditions announced for the upcoming ports.

Nice Cruise by drasch27

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Enjoyed another cruise with Carnival with a balcony room.  Had a little rain that was a disappointment, but overall was pleased.  Our waiter, Jimmy, was great and for some reason, he was given other assignments on a night or two.  Food was good, but not as good as previous cruises.  We got our room key at the airport, but that caused confusion at the port - no one seemed to know which check-in procedures to skip.

Overall we had a great time. No Complaints! by Nabz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The 4 ports were awesome and I would go back to see them. I never have issues with carnival. People think it's the cheapest one so won't be good but I personally enjoy it more than other cruise lines. This was my 4th cruise and I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a good time.

We like the anytime dinner. This time we asked to be in Jasper's section every-night! Jasper's team was jasper, Neemark, and Jomar.  They were all three wonderful.  They were so helpful and so nice.

This was a great cruise.  I recommend it to everyone.   We didn't do any excursions except for the tours around each island but they were great also.  The food was absolutely wonderful from the restaurants and buffets.

Our family enjoyed the cruise and all of the activities. Great people, good food, room were very clean. Our kids had a great time. Camp Ocean did a wonderful job entertaining them with a lot of activities, this gave me and my wife time to spend with each other.

Nice and Relaxing by xxstincexx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Cruise was good, the weather was ok. We had several nights of rain, but that was to be expected. The Hurricane the week before left the waters rough and murky, but it was still pretty locations to visit.

We had a short day in Puerto Rico, we got to the port at 7am, NOTHING in Puerto Rico opens before 9am. So If you go to that port and they get you there early, no need to be in a Rush, unless you just like walking around looking at closed buildings.

Take your hair dryer by donnarupert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was a great trip.  The boat was clean and fairly well maintained. The food was better then expected. The entertainment was so- so. The dancers were humm... but great singing and it was a nice set. The bands were good but the piano guy is out right  cranky. The shore excursions were good well organized and reasonable if you want to be safe.   The taxis in Roatan were expensive  compared to the ones if you walk about a block down the hill, but this is a poor country so be careful. Don't flash a lot of cash.  I put bills in separate pockets / areas and take out just what I needed. This works with the vendors too. I only have this amount. If they are willing to sell you something at the price you offer they will call you back once you walk away.  If you have long hair take or need a different setting then high hot take your own blow dryer. My hair would get sucked into the dryer consistently. It was so bad it had to be replaced it started to melt the plastic.   They are nasty cheap little dryers . I really didn't know they made those anymore. I hadn't seen them in years.

Good and Laid back by anp25

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Had a great time on this cruise.  Since I've been to these ports of calls a few times already, I decided that I was in no rush to get off the ship.  Thus this was the laid back cruise for me.  Was able to enjoy the ship, which although older, was the right size for me that had the right mixture of passengers.  Not to many passengers as Carnivals larger ships, but just the right size.

Great Vacation by awarrick

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Everything was great.  We had a wonderful time.

I was very surprised to see that they took out the drinks from the room refrigerators.  We were charged for drinking it so I don't really understand why you would stop this Amenity.  Also, the basket of items in the bathroom were gone.  We usually had everything we needed but this time my husband forgot his toothbrush.  It was a pain to go buy one in the gift shop!

Honeymoon experience by mkss7316

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

As we approached the cruise ship we were in shock.  The ship appeared Huge...  Our first cruise.  Everything was so well organized.  Dropping off our luggage, going through customs, obtaining our boarding documents, entering the ship, finding our room, greeted by the house keeping to being spoiled the entire 7 night trip.  Our house keeping staff led by Jean Claude is the best service I've received in my 56 years of life.  He greeted us by first name the entire cruise.  Took care of our various needs and professional.  Saffie the entertainment manager kept the ship informed of everything.  Most photographed person on the ship with and by the guest, folks loved her.  I hope she remembers us every time she see's a sea shell.  The nightly entertainment shows are the bomb.  Talk about very talented performers.  What memories.  Lastly I need to mention the special event that was hosted for all Military Veterans.  All Vets including their families and everyone from the ship was invited.  We were recognized by branch and asked to share our story.  As I looked into the audience I saw lots of tears.  Carnival couldn't have made our trip any better.  Hats off to the Captain and crew for keeping us safe while traveling around Hurricane Matthew.  God Bless you.
