Expected More From Carnival by CruiserV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very disappointed. Had purchased cruise to Eastern Caribean, but because of damage fron huricane, was rerouted to Western Caribean. I would have rather the cruise line offer me a voucher or something, where I could pick a cruise I want to go on, rather than be forced to go where they want me to go. After all isn't it my money. Left me with a unhappy experience.

Thanks to the Hurricanes... by fmac072261

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This wasn't the cruise I booked since the itinerary had to be shifted due to the Hurricane's. I am not really a fan of the Western Caribbean, so was not crazy about this trip, although there were a couple of nice surprises with Roatan and Cayman Islands!

Nice trip! Can't wait for our next adventure! by TheRenwicks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 3rd time cruising with Carnival. We really like everything that they have to offer. It's fun and affordable. There's always something going on to keep you entertained. (Check out the hairy chest contest ;D) We always have a great time. Can't wait to see what the next adventure will be!

I expected more from it, The Glory is too old fashion and needs a remodeling jog ASAP. Buffet food not good and closes at 9:30. I don’t think I will ever use carnival again for several reasons by gbailey59

We are still a bit traumatized about the death of Zion Smith Caught all of us off guard and feel terrible for her family The over all experience wasn’t as great as we had hoped

Even better than anticipated! by spicew

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

It was a great cruise - better than expected. We had ages 13-47 and all of us found things we enjoyed while on board and at each port. I would definately recommend it to others.

I've cruised 12 or 13 times on numerous different cruise-lines but Carnival is my favorite; I can't wait to cruise with them again and again! Amazing service, ports, ships, entertainment, etc!

Good experience as first time cruiser by sunleilucky

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Great experience with Carnival Glory as first time cruisers. This is Glory and it has been there more than 10 years. So I have a realistic expectation for the ship design. But I think Glory is good in terms of cabin room design/layout. We had balcony cabin so the bed is closer to the balcony and the sofa and desk are more closer to the cabin door, which my wife likes it for its convenience and privacy. The bed was good and comfort especially the pillow! The water pressure was great in the restroom and we had no problem with the plumbing, it goes fast. We like the cabin! I wouldn't call the food bad or great! It's Okay for the taste. Sometimes you may have one or two dishes good. But I have to point out that I had found shrimp shell in one of my main dishes and my husband had found some small cullet in his mushroom soup. So lots of improvement they need to do for food. The pizza was good I would say probably it's made on-site and real time. The grand buffet in red tail restaurant was a little bit disappointing especially for lunch for the 1st day. Ok for the Old fashion BBQ and Guy's burger. The taco store was better than the BBQ and burger sites. Some desserts are good at the grand buffet in red tail restaurant.

Hurricane Change-up by sdillon1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I would recommend this cruise and ship to all considering a cruise. Again, the crew and staff were outstanding, friendly and really cared that we had a good time. It was nice to see that the senior staff cared enough to keep us out of harms way. Thank you to all on this cruise.

Wonderful Western Caribbean cruise by cruisefanatics

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Although the captain had to change the original ports of call in the Eastern Caribbean due to Maria, we had a wonderful time visiting Western Caribbean. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Family/Wedding Cruise by C2C8U8RIhb2uIyYF5xw0MiMsF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was very relaxing! We had a large group for a wedding and due to the hurricanes we changed from Eastern to Western Caribbean. I'm glad Carnival looks at safety first but was still a little disappointed that we did not get to stop at Half Moon Cay. This was were the wedding was to be and we booked the private cabana for the day. We had been there before, so beautiful! All out ports were great, we had a couple little babies with us, so the beach was about all you could do. The wedding was in Cozumel, it was beautiful! Thanks Carnival for going above and beyond for our sons wedding! We had several people on board for their first time cruising, they had a really good time and I think they will cruise again. I love to cruise and could have stayed on for longer!

It was pretty good but not the best. by bellkathrinem

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our Eastern Caribbean cruise was rerouted to a Western Caribbean cruise due to Hurricane weather. We don't prefer to cruise Western Caribbean because it's too commercialized and doesn't feel authentic. The Eastern Caribbean islands are so much more beautiful so it would have been nice to have been given the option to get a full refund since we weren't going to ANY of the original Islands or to stay on the cruise and do the full itinerary. We were not told about the route changing until we were already on the ship a few hours . We were really disappointed with Jamaica. If you don't sign up for an Excursion it's a very awkward and uncomfortable situation standing in port with a bunch of taxi drivers and guys with boats trying to aggressively get your business. I do not recommend going to Jamaica unless you are comfortable haggling with locals or don't mind spending a lot of money on an Excursion. I do understand and appreciate that Carnival takes safety into consideration before traveling anywhere with passengers and that this is why our route was changed.

Labor day getaway by mendoza0069

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Because of the hurricane, our destination was changed to the western Caribbean. The western ports were amazing and recommend the pyramid excursions. Avoid the typical shops that you see at every port and explore.

The Amazing Crew made by Oceangift

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival Glory Staff: They were all awesome. Too many to name. But they made my vacation unbelievable. Some of the most hardworking crew I've sailed with. Friendly, helpful, engaging, professional. I appreciate them all from the steward, waiters, casino and guest services. Some difficult cruisers and the Glory staff was tops! Embarkation/Debarkation: Amazing. Almost too fast - flight wasnt until 5pm. Miami has embarkation and debarkation down to a well oiled machine. The porters etc were great. Other Ports should mimic. Not a huge fan of Dustin (Cruise Director) but the fun squad was cute. Brad was amazing and full of energy. Go to the Spa and ask for Dr. Fang or Rebecca - they were awesome!

I was not happy by georgettedestin

I hated this trip. I did not enjoy my trip! Room was not clean at all. The phone in my room had so much wax on it, the bathroom soap dish had hairs all over it, and sheets are yellow.

An Amazing Time by OdetteWhite

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was my first cruise...didn't know what to expect...but the ship activities combined just about everything that a person could want to do on their vacation...the choice of food was good...the staff were very engaging, especially the Cruise Director - high energy and made you feel welcome and a part of the group...I enjoyed the trivia challenges and plan to incorporate the music trivia at my job...all in all I had an amazing time and will definitely do it again
