Review summary

It was a great cruise - better than expected. We had ages 13-47 and all of us found things we enjoyed while on board and at each port. I would definately recommend it to others.

Embarkation

Couldn't have been better - Shuttle from the airport - checked in at the airport so avoided long lines at the boat. Got right on - had some food and explored the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Ate at the main dinding room every night. Enjoyed good food - especially the ports of call. Tried new things. Had room service for breakfast every morning - especially loved the fruit plates. Did also enjoy a few brunches in the main dining areas - totally suggest sharing a table with strangers - good times.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the art, comedy shows, bingo, raffles, dive in movies, slots and music.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We didn't get to the stage shows but enjoyed the musicians and comedy shows.

Children's Programs

My 13 year old really took to the kid's club. After being hesitant to try it out, every night there was something he would slip away to - he even came home with a trophy!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I can't say enough about the dining staff - Antonio, Dusko, and I Made were the BEST! They would call us by name, ask about the kids by name. They made it fun and really added to our overall experience. I feel like they are family friends now! Every staff/crew memeber we interacted with was very friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It all worked well for me.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was well maintained by our steward. Man was very attentive and friendly. The room fit all four of us - that includes my husband and older son who are both 6'3". Loved the balcony - we'd all be out there watching as we left ports and checking out the scenery as we came into port when it was daylight. Great little private escape. We needed a little more desk space for the one who had school work to do while we were there. But overall, we fit well.

Ship tip

Try everything - there are lots of differnt activities. Eat the popcorn at the dive-in movie, be sure to get in a round of minuture golf and if you like basketball - be in the basketball tournament. Try all the dining areas and use room service like your wake-up call. It's a great way to start the morning. Oh yah - and don't forget to get your selfie with the cruise director!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

We visited the allegator park - disappointed that there wasn't a lot of wildlife to see due to the recent hurricane that came through.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Loved it - Anju was a great guide for the the sea turtles and hell. Our captin and photographer for the boat going out to the stingrays were great. We loved the sea turtles and the stingrays. And... we are glad we went to hell and back - we all got University of Hell t-shirts and mailed postcards and stamped our passports in hell.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about our zipline and snorkle in Roatan. It was probably my favorite. We had a BEAUTIFUL private beach to share with 8 people and an amazing authentic meal after all the activities. The zip line was better than ever thanks to John and Juan Carlos. The snorkling was like swiming in a big fish tank. Love, love, loved it!

Belize City, Belize

We went to the Lamanai Mayan ruins. Loved that we were able to climb one of the ruins and see 360 degree view from the top. Also got to visit several others - was great. Fun fast boat ride there and back and the food was yummy after. The bus ride was long, but we recieved so much information and pictures on the way there, it didn't seem as long as it was.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We actually didn't step food on Cozumel as we did the Secret River tour that we caught a boat right off the ship that went strait to Playa Del Carmen. We loved the cave and river, Catrina was a grueat guide. We enjoyed the 45 minutes we had after to enjoy the town and beach. My 13 year old finally found some people to barter with - great people in the shops and beautiful beaches!

Disembarkation

We picked a later time as we were staying the night in Miami. There were some events that slowed it all down, but we just lingered longer in the dining area and played some card games until it was our turn to go.

What ports? Did any go to the teenage events? If so, did they have fun?
