Good Cruise by sonyak5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was good but rooms could be cleaned better and the buffet would close too early so it lower your choices of food selection!

Carnival Glory by ivyhanca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

When we first went on to the ship it was an ok experience very fast and smooth however once we got on the ship that is when everything started going wrong after paying for the faster to the fun pass primarily because of our luggages. We ended up getting them after 5pm they were sent to another cabin. It was refunded to me after complaining twice seemed to be the biggest complaint as almost everyone I spoke to ended up getting their money back for the pass. Jessica the lady Handling the bags on deck 6 was the most rude obnoxious person I have ever met. She was mad and getting an attitude because I was upset that it was after 5pm and my bags were not in my cabin yet which caused my daughter not to be able to enjoy the pool the first day. I went to get my hair done and was told one price by the girls and the desk and was charged a different price. In my cabin what I thought was a speaker was actually an AC making noise throughout the entire trip. I complained day by day no one took me seriously until my husband and I recorded it and showed it to the service desk to Dennis it was then two days prior to us leaving after dealing with the noise and complaining since that Saturday we got on the ship they ended up going and fixing it on Thursday. Dennis did credit me back for my photo package which was nice of him but it does not erase the cruise experience. I honestly will never go back on a carnival cruise. I had originally booked one for November and took back my deposit and put it towards a Norwegian Cruise for Nov 24 2018.

My August 2018 Cruise by JacquiG2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our cruise was okay. Our kids were disappointed that WIFI was not available for free. Even if not in the rooms, I think the open area on deck 5 could have been available for free with a time limit. Also, I did not realize it was one of your older ships. I loved our room and will forever book an ocean suite.

Excellent 1st cruise by Kinseys

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

From embarkation to disembarkation, we had an exceptional time! This was our first cruise and had heard good and bad from others before going. The result for us- from relaxation to shows to dining to 4 different ports of call to the fantastic staff and other travelers now considered friends, we WILL be cruising again, and again, and again!

Eastern caribbean cruise by mjculton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This ship has a lot of rust. I would like to see the sign and sail cards be able to be activated by just putting your card up to the card key on the door like some hotels do, it needs to change from having to actually put it in the slot to open the door. Also, I think it would be nice if the photo option was like Disney, you can order a photo package maybe before you leave or even anytime on the cruise. But I would like to have a photo package to purchase all of the photos and have them added to my account instead of having to look through millions of photos everyday and missing some of them. Also, running out of interesting cruises for my family. only 3 more we are interested in. And need more interesting from Galveston.

Isaac's first Cruise by hagansl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Excusions are excellent! I had an excursion planned for each port we visited and each one was special and really gave an upclose and personal view of each island. The guides were knowledgable but not boring. Loved it. I had an incident in the Platnium Dining Room on Wednesday August 8th. (Maybe 9th) My husband and I received an coupon/comp and presented it for redemption for free bottle of wine and a upgrade to order from the additional menu items at no cost. We recieved our wine but they did not have an email from the casino regarding the menu upgrade. We had ordered and was told that I had to go to guest service to get the matter straighten out. So up from our lovely night to go guest services. Guest services said the comp was not issued by them but the casino. I went from there to go to the casino and talked with a gentleman who said that yes indeed he saw where the email was sent to the dining room. He returned the promo card and wrote his name and extension on it and told me to have the dining room call if they should have any questions. I returned back to the dining room and told the waiter exactly what occured and he said again that their was no email sent verifying then he went to get the head waiter/supervisor and both returned to the table and said no email was sent. I said the wrote his extension on the card call him and verify. By the time all this occured, 45 mins had passed. I explained that we had a portrait sitting and had planned on seeing the movie after and we were late. All the food had arrived minus the lobster tails. I told them that we had to leave and once they get everything straighten out send the food to our cabin. The manager did apologize about the incendent. The surrounding tables overheard the occurances, which made me slightly embarressed. When we returned to our cabin indeed the food had arrived with lobster tails. My husband was bothered that our evening had been ruined and I told him that I'm sure they will compensate us for the hassel and incovenience they put us through but NO! the next day nothing. I waited until around 7pm the following day nothing so I called into the dining room to inform them of the problem that was handled horrible. Why would you have the ship's guest leave the dining room to straighten out a problem that was not under his/her control. I missed the waiter's dancing and hot fresh food with my husband. This situation was not handled well. Mrs. Lorelei R. Hagans-Floyd Cabin 6259 cruise date: Aug 4th Please feel free to call me at 937-307-3717 for any questions, comments or if you need any thing clarified. Thank you

Great first cruise! by kbjPhil413

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall the cruise was great. We had a couple of situations where staff members were not as kind an approachable as others. Many of the passengers were rude, greedy, and disrespectful. Our room was great and our steward, Benjamin, was awesome! Had some minor issues in the arcade and casino, but we were provided assistance quickly and without difficulty, Pedro was great and made hanging out in the casino a blast. Our daughter loved the camp, however a few of the staff members were difficult to interact with; a few times when attempting to clarify schedules the camp staff was impatient and on edge. The excursions we did were amazing and the ports were fun to explore and shop at. Everything was good until disembarkation, it took us almost 2 hrs to get off the ship, get our luggage, get through customs and get outside. LOTS of passengers were leaving the ship well before their numbers were called and people were gathering in areas and on levels they were not supposed to. All of this slowing down the process and making it miserable for others. Where there should have been order, lines, and checkpoints, we were instead met with no staff or very few staff, all of which were rude, unhelpful and dismissive. My pregnant wife, our 3 year old daughter and myself were sweating, without water(we had no reason to think it would take so long), and no access to restrooms along the path to get out. Getting off the ship and through the port was so bad that if this is the norm(which I hear it is not) I would have a hard time finding it worth it. Especially compounded by the lack of concern, care, or hospitality by both the Carnival and Port staff during disembarkation.

Best Family Reunion Ever!! by msanchez0826

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This cruise was an amazing opportunity for a family reunion!! We all thoroughly enjoyed the activities, the service and most of all the people we met. There were several people that stood out in service, but couple stood out of the crowd, Ilija from Montenegro and Christopher from France. They provided continuous and outstanding service!! Thank you for a great and memorable time!!

The Cruise was Fabulous except for the 2 charges that were on my credit card for gratuity, the cooler not working in the room and messed up sink in our cabin by jorengo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

everything was great except for the double charge i had on my card that caused problems with my bills not getting paid and me being charged for the payment not going thru for 2 of my bills and carnival not wanting to fix the problem. It has been escalated to see if the problem can be rectified in 3-5 business days.

We had a lot of fun . The only thing was that we need more money. All the ports places where to expensive . But beside that we had fun . I will do it again . Oh another thing that happened to me was that I had asked my travel agents to put my the tips together with the tickets and at the end carnival added my tips .
