Once again, had a great cruise! Loved our upgraded room, but did not like the drop down bed as it took up too much space, so we used couch as bed for third person. Guest services was not very helpful with problems. Room & MDR crews were great!

Review summary

We picked this cruise to go to Key West only. Had already been to Nassau & Freeport & so didn’t plan to do much on those islands anyway. We did like our cabin with the open balcony, & the crews in the MDR & rooms were fantastic as usual!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Traffic was slower than a snails pace, but once we got to port all was moving along in an expedient manner

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The MDR was great! The buffet busy in the morning, but handled it well.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Wait staff & room stewards were fantastic. Guest Services crew, not so much. In fact one guy was downright unhappy in his job & it showed in his unwillingness to even pretend to listen to your concerns. When you order a specific food to be delivered to your room because of a food allergy, & the wrong item is delivered & it is full of the allergen, therefore inedible, it isn’t too much to expect a refund.

Cabin / Stateroom

The Glory is going in for dry dock/updates at the end of this month, & honestly, she could use a little love. Our cabin crew did a great job with cleaning & helping us out with any little thing! We loved our balcony with the open overhead…star gazing was amazing!

Ship tip

Go for it! She is going to be going in for updates & then moving from our home port, we will miss her!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
In all fairness, Freeport is still working to recover from a hurricane, but I found nothing I need to go back to see/do. We did have fun singing/dancing at Señor Frogs…

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
Didn’t do an excursion as money was tight, & most reasonable priced were booked up well in advance. The downtown area was packed with 5 ships in town. I don’t care to return to Nassau, ever. The indoor market was claustrophobic & down right scary. Singing/conga line at Señor Frogs was very successful here.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
My first time there. It was great, would like to go back to explore more!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
The bottle neck created by taking 5-10-15 lines of people & turning it into one line had a few people grumbling. I kept waiting to reach the declaration podium…& just walked on by where it used to be…weird.

I absolutely love Key West. The first time I visited KW was during a cruise. And completely fell in love with that island. Now whenever I cruise out of Miami I'll spend a few days in Key West first, then take in the beautiful scenery on the drive to Miami for the cruise.

Appreciate your feedback. Nassau isn’t as good when there are so many ships in port. Glad you enjoyed your adventure.
