Review summary

This was my first Carnival cruise and I can safely say that Carnival is not as classy as Princess or Royal Carribean Cruises. They are geared much more for partying and I think this could either be improved or highlighted to people in a way who are interested in booking a cruise. The food options and times could greatly be improved. Also, the flow of lines and placement of food bars on the lido deck are haphazard. When these areas become busy it is very frustrating to walk through and its especially haphazard carrying a plate of food...people bump into you including those working on the ship. Also, many of the wait staff on the Lido deck hover over you waiting to take your plates and cups. I appreciate the cleanliness but being on vacation I don't want to be bothered. The staterooms are very roomy and nice and this was a very clean and well kept boat. The staff are friendly too. The biggest complaints about my experience were the CONSTANT updates over the intercom...people are on vacation and don't want to feel stressed out by agendas. The second complaint is to tell your photographers upon exiting at ports or on the ship to not be so pushy and 'in your face'....we see them standing there, we know we have the option to have our photo taken. I was harassed 3 times during this trip to have my photo taken and was given attitude when I politely said no thank you and kept walking.

Every situation in life is what you make it. We make every cruise fabulous!

All of ours were on Royal Caribbean, my last cruise they really disappointed us, we told the help desk on the ship we wouldn't be back, I was THAT SERIOUS... They acted like we were bluffing..... Glory .... HERE WE COME! This will be our first Carnival cruise..... We're not picky, just want what were promised. I could care less if people are having a good time, or partying. That's their vacation!

I get on Saturday for Hawaii. Will make us Platinum. So that's 75 plus nights. I couldn't tell you how many. I will be 60 this summer. I really don't have any desire to go on any other line. But here in America we do have a choice.

I have gone on 20 cruises with Carnival number 21 this May! My husband I truly love the cruise line. No complaints here :-)

I would agree with carolkrosse. I am on Carnival all the time and I am 50 and never step foot on Kmart myself. Carnival crews are curious and I have always received top notch service and don't plan on sailing with anyone else.

I cruise Carnival all the time and wouldn't be seen in K-Mart. I'm not young. Do not party. The crew has always been very nice to us. But you have a right to your opinion. I just don't agree. Way too many people on RC

Carnival is the K-mart of cruises. You get what you pay for. Not a bad thing. Each cruise line has a different level of style, Carnival caters for the younger crowd and the partiers. I've been cruising for thirty years. Carnival was my first. still cruise with them from time to time but I love Royal Carribean the best. Way more options.

I think you would be better off with either silver seas or Seabourn Cruise is they were exactly what you were looking for at bargain prices between six to $8000 a week cruise which includes everything your heart desires this is a real bargain your next cruise should be on that oneor Yatze of the seas which is just slightly more between eight and $12,000 per week

We did MSC DIVINA , 2 years ago and while I was comfy with just being low key since I don't drink , my husband would have jumped overboard had he seen any carnival ships . We are going late summer this year with the kids and hubby insisted I book carnival again for the fun of it . Carnivals slogan is " the fun ships" so that's what you'll get .

I'm not a party person either and I find carnival ships very relaxing. Yes sometimes a little crowded around eating areas but just go with it. Some people are never happy.

We cruised the Glory in Nov usually do Royal but went for the stops it did not seem like a party crowd to us but food was a huge disappointment but still had a nice time! Not impressed with Glory but loved Half Moon and Grand Turk!

I have cruised 10+ times with Carnival, also have cruised numerous other lines. Not a party person, but enjoy people watching. The party people have never inhibited my fun. As with everything, it is what you make it.
