Review summary

We had a wonderful time on this ship. This is the 3rd time we've cried carnival out of Long Beach. I really wish they had a better system for managing traffic to and from the Port. The casino is too small imo.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Easy to get into the dome after getting through terrible traffic jam entering terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was ok. There were more options for food venues on this cruise than Panorama, Mardi Gras or Jubilee.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Used Serenity deck, hot tubs and casino

Entertainment

We didn't want to wait in endless lines to get into entertainment.

Children's Programs

No children on this cruise

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dudi was our room Stewart and he was amazing. I'm always impressed everyone learns our names immediately.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and well maintained ship. The lido deck was enclosed more than other ships and was a little muggy and hot at times.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bed was comfortable, bathroom was roomy enough. The closet space was lacking a little.

Ship tip

Watch a video about the elevators before going.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
The queen Mary Port area is always a traffic problem trying to get people on and off the port island area.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Large port area, use the carts to get to port off the ship to save long walk.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
We booked a non carnival Segway tour and had a wonderful time. Walk out of port and order Uber instead of federal taxi.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
We ubered to The Sandbar for massages. It's not ideal that this port is last and 6am - 1pm it's a short day.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Traffic is disappointing and staff directing out of the port seems a little less than friendly. (Except Porter staff..they are amazing and we love them.)

Sounds like a good cruise. Hard for Me to believe they had more dining options than the Jubilee. It had 21 venues and we couldn't get close to visiting them all on our 7 day cruise.
