Review summary

We had a great time on the cruise. I would like to have had better quality meal options. But the snack shacks made up for the buffet.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation process was quick and easy. The crew made it very fun when we were set to sail off.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The hand tossed pizzas were delicious, along with Guy's burgers. The Mexican breakfast and lunch was very good. The salad bar on the Serenity deck was fresh and tasty. The buffet items were hit or miss, some were really tasty and others fishy or bland.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Waterslides were fun, but often times people got stuck on the slide because there was not much of an incline to the slides. Made it challenging to slide through. The pools were small, and would have liked to have more pools available throughout the ship. The jacuzzi spas were a large size, however, would have liked to have more jacuzzi's available throughout the ship as well. The fitness center was beautiful and the equipment in new/great condition. Views of the ocean while you work out was a bonus!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedy shows and interactive shows were fun. DJ's played a variety of music throughout the ship. Very diverse and fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Bartenders were good and knew your order if you were a repeat customer. The waiters were quick and fast to clean up plates, cups and tables throughout the ship. The room stewards provided whatever we asked for in a timely manner. We loved the towel animals, we received a different animal each day/night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and tidy. The staff constantly kept up and cleaned any mess, debris, etc. found throughout the ship. Access to the different levels and floors were easy, if you took the stairs. The elevators were very slow and confusing to most guests on how to access them.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was large, was not expecting the size of the cabin to be that large and spacious. We had a good sized balcony, the room was spacious with a large couch. Plenty of closet space and a decent sized bathroom.

Ship tip

Purchase the Cheers Package if you like to drink alcoholic beverages. It's worth the cost and you'll get your money's worth.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Easy access to park and to get to the ship.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Very beautiful, colorful and filled with high energy. Beautiful, vibrant colors all around. Several vendors, shops and restaurants/bars.

Ensenada, Mexico

2 out of 5
Not a very attractive port. Filled with container ships and not much scenery on the other side where the port is. There are no vendors, no festive colors as the port in Cabo San Lucas.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Although, the elevators took a long time to come. The disembarkation of the ship was orderly and there were staff around to assist and direct guests. The disembarkation was speedy, given the amount of people getting off the ship. Lines were long but went quickly. Customs was fast and quick and easy to get through.
