had a great time

The ship was great. This is our second "sisters' birthday" cruise with Carnival. It is always such fun and the staff are always wonderful, especially in the dining room at the evening meal. You really feel pampered. The beds are so comfortable - it's very important to us to go home without our backs hurting! We plan to add a another night to our cruise next year.

It was our first cruise and a lot of people previously said the ship looked old. I thought it was alright. The staff were really friendly and great with the kids. The cruise director warned us to only book excursions with the ship, but we did our own thing anyway and paid half the price by going ashore and finding excursions once we got there. There were three boats anchored in the harbor so it was really crowded in Cabo San Lucas and in Ensenada too, but we had a fun time anyway. The kids had fun in their clubs and the night time entertainment was so so. The main lady singer could not sing and I could not figure out why they couldn't find someone with better talent. Overall we had a great time.

The ship was very clean, everywhere you went. Our room, though the 'cheap' option, was much bigger than we had expected- there was plenty of storage for us over-packers, and the beds were very comfortable. For dinner you were assigned a table, which worried us at first but we were seated with other couples around our own age, as it seemed most people were. The staff was very friendly, and there was always plenty to do. I would highly recommend a cruise on the Carnival Elation to anyone.

The ship was wonderful. It was very spacious and clean. Everything was easy to find and signs and directions fore very helpful. We loved the outside eating and the dining room was beautiful.

This was our first cruise so we had no expectations.

Well, if you are concerned you might gain too much weight, then this is the cruise for you! The food was terrible. Even the dining room food was tasteless and buffet even worse. We had two cabins, one of them a penthouse. This room was totally uninhabitable the last night due to a sewer gas smell that permeated the stateroom until 3:30 in the morning when it became somewhat tolerable. This was our 6th cruise and first and last on Carnival. Anyone who says this cruise was good simply does not know any better. Very dissappointing.

the ship was clean, the service was great, but if you are an adult who doesn't really care for wanna be professional dancers and a lame hipnotists, just fly into the ports you want to visit.

The ship was emaculate and the staff was extremely helpful. We enjoyed taking the spin and Yoga classes. The food and food service was top notch in the main dining room.

The Elation was a nice ship. We were skeptical of cruising again because the ship we took before wasn't very nice (The Holiday). The Elation was clean and had more activities.

There was a lot to do to keep me entertained on the cruise. The food was great. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The people were very friendly.

the romm look clean but i don't like the smell of the room , urine smell in the bathroom & cigarette smell in the sleeping area.Please check it for next customer

This our first time to go on a cruise I did not expect it's gonna be this fun... from the first day we go onboard up to the last day there is no dull moment...the showtime are terrific... we do not have to go to Las Vegas to watch for shows...good entertainments... all staffs are nice and friendly.... I have to admit we will return after one year especially if we find a good deal..

The food and staff were excellent. I found it interesting that all 900 employees were from countries from all over the world but not one from the USA. I understand that the entire pay for stewards and their staff and waiters and staff came from the $10 per day tip we are each assessed. That does not seem enough for the high standard of work expected of them. To a person they were cheerful and efficient at all times. I started to explain above that I wanted to share a video of our childhood experiences with my two friends and companions of 65+ years and could not do so because on the entire ship there was no way to play a DVD. One helpful employee thought of a way when he remembered there was one extra TV set that had a DVD player. His supervisor overruled him and said no. I had brought my own DVD player and only needed a place on the boat to plug it in. Our reason for the cruise was to get together and share our past experiences. Overall the cruise was great. The ship was very comfortable and every effort was made for our comfort. The exercise area was super. It gave us a chance to stretch and walk or run. We did not stay up to attend the shows that were an attraction to many. I suggest that prior to the cruise guests be asked the purpose of their cruise and then some flexibility to see if you can meet their needs. That would be most impressive.
