boat and amenities and ports are great.  all entertainment  was sexual.  it is sad the family oriented people and those beautiful innocent children must watch it... even on the pool deck.  no more

I was disappointed sorry however some of the staff was great especially joaquin the drinks were high and watered down. the food was not seasoned and i was ready to get off the boat the second day.

WE really want a larger ship next time. Not much to do or see. We cruised on the Elation once before but last cruise was on Royal Carribean Navegater of the seas. and it was really large I think we got spoiled. We will definately go on a bigger ship next time. al and all the ship is very nice if you have never been on a larger one.

We had so much fun dancing to the 50s & 60s music.Up till midnight almost every night.We made many friends on the ship.The state rooms were much biger than we expected.

My cruise was very relaxing, and enjoyable made new friends drank a lot and had a great time. only problem was they cloesd the bar at the comedy club at 11 when the club comedy didn't end till 11:30 or 12:00. Cozmel was a great stop could do an excursion and still have time for some shopping and drinks.

Taking a cruise was on my lifetime bucket list and it took a long time for me to finally commit and go.  Took my son and 2 grandchildren with me to share the adventure.  It exceeded all my expectations.  The ease of boarding process, cabin accomodations, fabulous food, amazing camp carnival, swimming and casino opportunities all were outstanding.  The port of call swimming with sting ray's was so much fun.  The shopping in port was great.  The crew was helpful and courteous.  I can't wait to go again.

We had 2 nights in New Orleans prior to the cruise. They were wonderful!

Sadly, our weather was cool and rainy which made being on a small ship a major disappointment.

No indoor pool. Will never sail on a ship that doesnt also have indoor pools and hot tubs.

Then the outdoor pool was very little, waaay too little. 

Not enough anything......

My husband and I had a wonderful time on our cruise! My only suggestion would be to take a few warmer things to wear - the ship can be pretty cold at times!

The weather is not too great this time of year in Cozumel. It was bad for first time cruisers but I was just getting away for a bit. Plus I've been to Cozumel 3 times so it wasn't a big deal. The food on this ship wasn't really that good but the servers were nice for my table & I had a great cabin steward, Lawrence. 

Enjoyed the cruise a lot, had a great time.  My only negative comment, we did not care for the food items in the main dining room.  Many times, the food was not warm when served. We have cruised many times with Carnival,and this is the first time that we were not totally satisfied with the menu items.  Our service staff was great, wonderful, and did an excellent job.  Even though, we did not enjoy the main dining, we would take this cruise, again.

We had the worst experience with this Cruise and after reporting our issue to Guest Service, nothing came to conclusion and we (all 15 of us) have decided not to go on Carnival any more.

- We were cheated by the SPA services and the answer from Guest Service was that they are a separate business and they can not do anything for it. When we booked the Cruise, we only knew Carnival regardless how they run the internal businesses, they need to take responsibility.

Anyways, we are done with this guys..Never ever going with them again.

I learned a lot of Carnival Cruise from friends before. Once I took first trip with Carnival. I got it. Severals misunderstanding. 1. After I book this cruise, I have option to choose dinner time. I would rather 6PM. I was assigned to a group table with two other families. I am lucky they are Chinese and more easy comm. I got call after first dinner and I was told I have been assigned a private table on tomorrow - Christmas day. Once second dinner time, my family was direct to a private tiny table. I believe it is only for two (lover). we have three people. I ask manager and I was told that they could not change on today and will be arranged another private table on tomorrow. 2. water, I saw a lot of people carry one case of bottow water on board, I learn, any bottow of water need money in the ship, of course, soda. I do not believe cruise company charge big money does not include water fees. 3. I roughly count, we have 1/4 Chinese on board. I believe if cruise line add more Chinese food will be help allure people. Comparing Norweigain, I think Carnival need improve their dinner menu.

This was our first cruise and the crew on the ship went over and beyond our expectations. We really enjoyed this cruise too much. Planned our next one on the way home from the ship. I can't express how great the crew was and how helpful they were. Really happy with Carnival and the Elation. Would recommend this cruise to all first timers and others looking to get away for a while.

I have am a frequent cruiser, and this was my first experience with Carnival. In general I try to be optimistic, but the customer service we received was very poor. Whenever we had questions as to where things were, we would have to literally search for a staff member. There were numerous times when they would tell us that they were new and didn't know, and wouldn't offer to help us from there. The servers in the restaurant that waited on us acted like they didn't want to be there, and we were an inconvenience. The only servers that acted like they cared about us were our dinner servers. It was very obvious that the boat is very old. The rooms were old. We had issues with the air conditioner from day one. For 4 nights we spoke back and forth about getting it turned on (bc we were sweating so badly) and they continued to tell us there was nothing wrong with it until the last night when a maintenance person took it apart and told us it was broke but he could fix it tomorrow (day 5). They offered us a new room on the other end of the boat, that was the same grade as the one we were in. So we decided to stay in the one we were in because what was the point to drag everything out for one more night? We found other things in the room that were less satisfactory like our "clean" towels had various types of hairs in them and some of the dishes our room service food was delivered on were dirty. The customer service lady, one in particular was rude to us when we asked her why our sign and sail cards didn't work at our dinner. They told us we didn't link it to our credit card, when we did before boarding the boat with the lady who checked us in. (Which I believe you have to do before boarding.) She gave us some stupid excuse like the "satellite must have been down". This was on day 4 after we had used it numerous times on the boat. As far as the agenda goes, they didn't offer a lot of fun things to do on board. The food was ok, not great. They didn't offer a lot of variety. A lot of times it was not fresh, and whenever I would order a fruit bowl pieces of fruit had obviously gone bad and needed to be thrown away. These small details were just the cherry on top of our carnival trip. Overall, I wish I would have booked another cruise line for my vacation.

Really enjoyed the cruise. A great way to vacation that is relaxing. There is entry to do on the ship, great variety of activity.  The food was delicious and plentiful. All crew members were friendly, they really added a memorable touch. 

We took our Italian relatives (who came to visit us from Italy) on this cruise and they were highly impressed about the ship, the service and the food.  I had not been on a Carnival ship in three years but I'm glad we decided to take this cruise and highly recommend it to anyone who may have had a less than excellent experience with a prior Carnival cruise.

This was the 7th cruise we have taken on Carnival and it was enjoyable.  It was comparable to the other cruises we have taken with Carnival.  Hopefully we will take many more in the future.

This ship is smaller, but always a great experience. We have been on the Carnival elation twice now and both times the staff was so wonderful and friendly. The comedy club is fantastic and finish the nights in the night club. Great ship, great fun!

My family enjoyed our cruise with Carnival on the Elation.  It was an older ship but it was clean and the staff was great.  I would have liked to have had an extra plug in our cabin.  My husband uses a breathing machine and there was no convenient plug. As it was I had taken an extension cord so it worked out.  The food was good and the weather was perfect.
