Although the up front price is low, there are numerous incidental charges that level the cost when compared to other lines. Quality isn't up to the others. Food has gotten worse. Shrimp cocktail for example consists of 4 or 5 tiny peel and eat shrimp that I wouldn't use for bait.

I would definitely go on the Elation again!! It wasn’t crowded and service was amazing.

We enjoyed the trip, and have already booked a trip for next year. We look forward to sailing with Carnival again. The trip gave my husband and myself a new look on our marriage. We sat and talked about how we should have done this sooner, but with small children and financial responsibilities we just could never swing the expense. So now that our kids are in college we have a lot of time for us and this cruise really help us renew what is important in our marriage, time for our self.

overall, the cruise was okay. Last day at sea was rough, with lots of people getting sick on the boat. good back for your buck, but im not sure if i would do it again.

My girlfriend and I had never been on a cruise. We wanted to go someplace warm to escape the cold of NYC. Overall our experience was very positive and we will be taking our opinions from this cruise and utilizing them when searching for our next cruise.

The only thing we would do differently is our room upgrade we didnt know it was bunkbeds til we got there! And the internet was horrible! It was our honeymoon so it was fun!

We loved it. Will travel again soon Carnival is our cruise line of choice. We love it. The staff is great and really makes us deal special. The any time dining option is the best. We met so many amazing folks.

Everything about the cruise met or exceeded our expectations except the casino. Everyone used the casino as the designated smoking area, and the ventilation was terrible. We were a party of eleven, with four vegans, the chefs made special vegan meals for us every evening. The buffet had plenty of fruits and salads and even had a veggie burger and fries.

This is the ONLY cruise we have had a bad experience on. Ironically, it is the only cruise where we have splurged and gotten a suite... worst decision of the whole cruise, in this case! Do NOT book a jr suite on the Elation if you want to get any sleep or if you are expecting anything other than a regular balcony room!

The staff makes cruising memorable. There's something magical looking out with the ocean on all sides. It's a great get away.

It was a great time if some disappointmenting changes since 2014 and some good upgrades. The room AC broke the morning we went to leave the ship, nothing like sweating right after a shower then breakfast, but they did have it fixed by the time we got back on board.

Food was less the average. Cruised a many times on Carnival and continue to find quality of food going down.

Ship exterior in dire need of refurbishment. TV selection useless. Entertainment subpar. Wait staff was best entertainment on ship. Food on Lido deck buffet was not great. Guys hamburgers was best bet most days.

Really enjoyed the Cruise Director. The Hasbro games were a lot of fun. The Comedian (from Greensboro, NC) was really funny. We didn't see the other comedian. The music/rock performance was really loud! We didn't go, and couldn't sleep while it was going on. Overall good time.

Update the interior. Find better singers and dancers. Make the drinks stronger. Overall, I had a blast.

The cruise was nice, the staff was ok in comparison to other cruises. The food was just ok, I would have liked more options on the buffet. But it was kind of hit or miss.

Our group was from age 2 to 63, all had a good time. Don't expect gourmet dining , if you do I highly recommend the Chefs Table $90. Sea Day brunch (included) is also great. Do your dining in the dining rooms, the Lido deck buffet is the worst. Food, quantity, diversity and quality is D+. Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana are awesome! Pizza is too. And the Carnival Deli (by the Pizza area) was amazing as well! Beds are comfy, entertainment is fun! Ship is clean and the staff is very attentive. Plan on taking stairs more than usual as some elevators weren't in order.

We had a great time on the cruise. We would certainly cruise on this ship again!
