Entertainment

Performers weren't actually bad. The problem was their location and the inability to "dance to the music." The only real dance areas were located where the comedians and movies were scheduled.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
They pretty much stayed to themselves. With the exception of our cabin steward and waiters we were never approached by a crew member.

Ship Quality

Typical of this class ship and possibly why Carnival got away from them the Promenade deck is disjointed. The decking on Lido and cabin balconies need to be maintained. Only fault here is with the Master of the vessel. He doesn't require much and therefore doesn't receive much effort from his crew. Inside areas were cleaned often and well.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was kept spotless thanks to Mayura our cabin steward. She was a bright spot.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
We left our luggage for the ship to handle for debarkation. Apparently 80 percent of the passengers carry their cases off themselves. As a suite occupant with priority debarkation privileges we basically had to wait for the entire ship to leave first. When we got to our luggage we then had to drag it a long distance to customs. Behind all of the walkoffs. Bad experience.

Sounds like you really like to focus on the positive. Any cruise, or vacation, is 90% attitude. Never had a bad day on the Elation or any cruise. We're things perfect, of course not. We're things great enough to allow me to count my blessings and enjoy? Of course.
