This was a wonderful Christmas Cruise and my 2nd time on the Elation I love this ship and can't wait to sail on it again

Lastly, don't be coy about charging gratuities. While booking it seems optional and up to you to tip the servers on board, it in fact is not optional. You either pay in advance or they charge you second day of your itinerary. So, just add 20% to your booking cost or your budget while planning.

The Elation is still a pretty ship. Well kept. I highly recommend taking a cruise on this ship.

Overall, I would not recommend this cruise to other first time cruisers or the ports. It was not a great first experience and I hope others will have a better one. It was not well organized in regards to activities and entertainment. The ports were not at all thrilling or excited and quite honestly, the only way to enjoy them would have been through the expensive excursions.

Staff was amazing, trivia was hard and the Stein hoisting competition was fun!

We booked the cruise to surprise my best friend it was so nice to get to spend some much-needed time off hanging out, we are cruising again together in September.

The captain did a fantastic job avoiding the storm. This is a very reasonable priced cruise so remember you get what you pay for

The Carnival Elation is a older smaller ship but still is a lot of fun!!

Awesome time we met some great folks from all over. Had a blast just enjoying each other for my wife’s 40th bday. We are already looking to book another one.

The only issue was kids banging on doors at 2am!!!

Any cruise is a good cruise because I’m on vacation. Everyone was very nice. Hopefully kids will be in school when I go on my next cruise and the pools won’t be so crowded.

I definitely recommend Carnival Cruises, but not Elation. She is showing her age.
