Overall we really enjoyed this cruise. I did miss the party crowd a bit, but it was nice to just chill, especially with so many B2B port days.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We walked right onto the ship at our scheduled boarding time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food on this journey cruise was bland and the selection wasn't as good as we are used to. Drinks were good although they ran out of a lot of stuff halfway through our 14 day trip. So if you wanted a mojito you were out of luck.
The Chef's Art Steakhouse
1 out of 5
They raised the price, lowered the available options, and quality of the food. Plus the service was subpar. Save your money and get your filet and lobster in the MD
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Being that there was mostly older people(60+) on this trip, they kept activities very basic and not many people participated. Except in the trivia.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
We cruise quite a bit, and so we had already seen the shows they were playing. They had a few singers, and they sounded great, but I didn't want to sit in the theater just to watch someone sing.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff, as usual, was amazing. They worked very hard to provide prompt and cheerful service. Our room steward was Emmerson and he was great.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The cleaning standards fleetwide are always phenomenal in my opinion, and this ship was no different. As far as design, I wish they had the Red Frog Pub, and they didn't have a protected outdoor smoking area.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The size of our room was great as was the balcony. My only complaints are that the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way unless locked and there was paint splatter on the balcony that kept getting on my clothes. I didn't complain about it, as it's not something that would stop from booking again. Just a minor annoyance.
Ship tip
There is only one coffee spot and it doesn't open till 7. So be prepared to wait or drink regular coffee from lido.
Beautiful. It's hot and humid there and if you have mobility issues you will probably want to take a tour as there are some very steep hills . We visited the Forts of San Juan. All I can say is wow. If you do a self tour there, be advised they do NOT take cards
Did the island tour, stopped at a beach spot on the French side and got a drink called a BBC (so delicious). The sand was sugary soft and white and the water was beautiful.
There's a beach park in walking distance to the ship $40 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for day. You can rent water gear there and there was a place that served drinks and food. Cards and cash accepted
