Review summary

We got an amazing players club deal out of New Orleans and took off on a 7 day cruise to Key West, Freeport and Nassau.

The only real cons of the trip was OBC and  the weather (Not a Carnival issue - it's a January issue!). Windy and cool on the ship meant little time for any quality sun bathing, but heck, a chilly day on a cruise if better than a good day at work. Best days for sunshine were Nassau and the last day at sea. We found the cruisers in general were a little older. Lines were not too bad after the peak hours and ship was pretty quiet after 10pm.

We had a $100 OBC as part of our package deal and on Tuesday we got a notice that appeared to award us another $100 OBC (It came from the Fun Shops). Turns out it is was telling us what we already knew and was not extra. No big deal other than spending an additional $100 on souvenirs we thought were "free"!

Service

No issues with anyone. Nice crew.

Tipped our cabin steward $40 when we met him (IWayan).

    - Always had extra ice, extra towels and prompt cleaning

We had Anytime dining. Never had the same crew twice, but service was good.

Red Frog Rum Bar - Quick and cheerful with a drink. I like the Tervis tumbler.

Pre-ordered Rum was there waiting for us in the room.

Things we did on the ship:

Steakhouse - First night of Cruise (Free/Discount Bottles on 1st Night)

Comedy Club -  Showed up at the last minute, got good seats. Great shows!

Casino - Too smokey and drink service was slow. Had the Drinks on Us card.

Pizza Pirate - Pretty darn good for a conveyor pizza

Chef's Table - 5 Stars! Great food / service and all the wine one could handle!

Fitness Center - Nice Gym and the steam room was great to detox

Taste Bar - Nice small plates to snack on

Serenity Deck - Nice escape. Cool winds made it chilly

Sea Brunch - Fillet and Eggs. Hold the Eggs, 2 extra steaks please!

Excursions:

Key West - Rented scooters and did a self tour.

Freeport - It was raining. We checked out the port and then back to the ship

Nassau - Walked Junkanoo Beach and loved the Tiki Bikini Hut

Summary

We would do this cruise again - when the weather is a little warmer!

Pirate Scooters - $40 for 6 hours. As @gellmore suggested, they have vendors at the pier as well.  Please note that we had been to Key West before, so we knew where everything was. Some parts of the island can get pretty busy with traffic.

Right at the end of the pier is where you rent the scooters!!
