Review summary

Weather, which Carnival of course has no control over, was the worst part of the trip.  We only had 3 days of nice tropical weather.  It was quite windy and chilly the rest of the time.  Strong winds created a lot of movement on the ship.

That said, the ship itself is outstanding!  Lots more food options than the last cruise we took (12 years ago).  The spa was wonderful.  Also greatly enjoyed the spa sun deck, where only adults are allowed.

We had an interior cabin to save money, as we spend little time in the cabin.  The bed was very comfortable.  My husband was sick one day and we pretty much did stay in the cabin, but we were very comfortable.

The January cruises I have been on were chilly till you got close to the Caribbean. The money you save in winter cruises makes it worth the couple chilly days.

Have been on the Dream numerous times. She is a big ship with state of the art stableizers . You will not feel the weather like you do on a small intimate ship like the Elation. You will have a blast.

OK I got a question about your trip on Dream Last year we cruised on he glory amazing time amazing weather. so we booked another cruise this year. we went on the Elation. we had really bad weather high winds cold also, bouncing off the walls for 5 days last 2 were the worse. 15 plus ft waves winds 60mph plus deck no elation were closed for safety warning not to use stairs because of ship rocking. we are actually looking at a cruise on Dream Hoping a bigger boat wouldn't feel it as much. What is people opinions If they have cruised big boats and smaller older boats with weather had 1 windy day on glory barely felt it the elation we knew we were I high winds lol
