Embarkation/disembarkation We arrived at the port... by missys03

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Embarkation/disembarkation We arrived at the port around 10 am and it was very organized in regards to checking in. After they checked us in we waited in a seating area for about an hour before boarding began. Getting off the ship was a breeze. We carried our own luggage so when our deck was called we walked right off the ship. Room/Deck 7-201 We had a room all the way forward on the ship under the bridge. It was very quiet and away from all the normal hallway noise. Our room was comfortable and very clean. We had some issues with our refrigerator, but our room steward promptly had it changed out. Deck 7 was perfect because 2 floors either down or up and we were in the middle of the fun. Food We only ate in the dining room our 1st night and stuck to the buffet the remaining nights. Food was ok and as long as you aren’t expecting gourmet then you will be fine. The iguana grill was my favorite with taco salads and breakfast burritos. What I liked about this ship were the many choices in dining options without all the up charging. We were bummed we didn’t get around to Guys Burgers but they looked delicious. I wish it were open past 6pm. Drinks This ship has bars galore. My favorite is the Alchemy Bar. Best martinis I have ever drank and the staff is amazing. We were locals there along with many others. I did t purchase drink package, but might have been a good idea. Beers are not cheap at $6 average and mixed drinks/martinis are $12 avg. (they automatically tack on gratuity) It all adds up very fast. Experience I have sailed Carnival several times and also sailed on Princess and Royal Caribbean. My expectations were not extremely high, but this trip exceeded my expectations and I would happily sail on this ship again. My mom and I kept saying how impressed we were with everything. The staff went above and beyond to get to know you and this really makes a difference. It was definitely more of a party ship than some of the other cruise lines, but I had tons of fun. There is something to do non-stop and I highly recommend watching the lip sync battle. Well done!! On a side note, if I were planning on taking the kids, I would opt for one of Carnival’s bigger ships. This ship didn’t have tons of options for the kids other than water slide and very small pools. We were docked next to Carnival Vista and that would be way to go. Ports Grand Turk- We spent the day at Jacks Shack. It was a short walk down the beach and worth it. Great drinks and the owners are super nice. Seaweed was bad on the island so water wasn’t as pretty as pictures I’ve seen, but not bad. Half moon Cay- I want to go back as soon as possible. The most amazing beach with the prettiest water I’ve ever seen. The tender process wasn’t too painful but I recommend getting tender sticker early in morning. Nassau- We had been here several times so went to the Queens Staircase and spent rest of day in bars.

What an Adventure! by brandonmcc

Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The conquest was great! The staff was incredible and the activities were great. My only complaint is that there weren’t enough production shows. They only offered flick and epic rock and it was a 5 night cruise. Ports were great except Nassau (which I’ve never liked anyway). Food was fabulous and drinks were great! Overall great experience, perfect size ship and I was glad to see it had updated amenities.

Cabin 8364. We sailed during... by aggie6454

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Cabin 8364. We sailed during the week of 8/20-8/25/18. Thanks to my daughter in love for providing us with Fast to the Fun. That made embarkation super smooth! We breezed through check in and was in our cabins before 1:00! Disembarking went just as smooth. This was our first cruise as a family on board the Conquest and my first cruise ever! Melvin, our steward was the best. He and his crew kept our cabins nice and clean. Always pleasant and very helpful. We were assigned the Monet Dining Room. The food there was plated beautifully and very tasty. My prime rib on Captain’s Night was cooked perfectly. I especially enjoyed the view of the ocean from where our table was. Our servers Chen, Opak (Not sure if I spelled his name correctly), Dennis, as well as the other servers during the At Sea Brunch were great. I can’t leave out the wonderful crew up in the buffet area. They kept the tables clean and were very helpful. The food there was delicious. I had breakfast there every morning after the first At Sea Brunch. A little more congested, but well worth the wait. Cruise director Matt was totally awesome, and Maddie made playing Bingo a joy even though I didn’t win lol. Overall, I enjoyed myself immensely and will sail aboard the Conquest again.

I like the ship. It was a lot of fun things to do. I won for the females the LSB. I had 35 friends and relatives with me. That made it totally awesome! I also met a lot of new friends as well.

Just got off the Conquest... by Tyjon

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Just got off the Conquest and it was my 15th cruise with Carnival and I must say it was the worst. Let me tell you why. The groups that came on the ship where completely out of hand. Rude to the crew, staff and other guest. Because the behavior was so bad we saw the normally happy helping crew vanish in fear of them. No enforcement of ship rules , constantly complaining about the food, their drinks and charges being added to thier accounts that they didn't do. They acted like cattle to a feeding trouth and complained when they didn't like the food after eating 3 or 4 plates full. These groups should be embarrassed how they acted. It made it horrible for everyone else on the ship. Sadly even though they should be embarrassed on how they acted , we know they won't be....after 15 cruises with Carnival if something doesn't change this may be my last.

Maybe because it was my first one, but I honestly thought the Conquest ship was amazing. From the room, staff, entertainment, etc, we had a great time. I do think the elevators could be upgraded, but other than that-loved it.

We loved the entire cruise! Staff was awesome and so helpful. Food was great. Piano bar with Jonathan was so much fun. Our room was always clean and maintained well. We purchased the Bubbles package and loved it. Choose FTTF which was worth it. First on the ship. Easy tender into Cayman.

Ship: Carnival Conquest

This ship is very much in need of refurbishing! As frequent cruisers, we were very disappointed in the lack of knowledge by the staff and the indifference of many. The menu hasn’t been updated in many years and the quality is mediocre. We’ve been loyal Carnival cruisers for many years and hope they step up their game.

Just left a 4 day... by dave7927

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Just left a 4 day cruise in the Conquest. Overall a good cruise. Not very crowded. Room steward Jeffry was excellent. Food was good, especially Guys and Blue Iguana. Alchemy Bar’s drinks were good as usual (favorite place). CD Matt was ok (might be grading him harder because we were on a cruise about 2 months earlier and the CD was Cookie who was awesome). Wish Carnival had a cruise that made me stops at Half Moon Cay. Love that place. We did the Jet Speed Boat excursion in Nassau and had a blast (came across it reading the excursion reviews on this site. Thank you!). Will be booking my next Carnival cruise soon.

Where do I start? First... by DemiTay93

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Where do I start? First of all, I had a beautiful time aboard the lovely Carnival Conquest Cruise Ship. Room: I stayed in statesroom 2-293 (ocean view room) it was very spacious and clean. Our room steward, Seichon, did a wonderful job coming through every evening and cleaning our cabin. They even gifted my fiancé a $50 spa credit in celebration of his birthday (we didn’t use it, the spa is incredible expensive). I just loved to see the new towel animals every day. The room comes with shampoo and body wash so no need to bring your own, it also comes with a blow dryer. Food: I’ve read a lot of reviews with people complaining about the food quality, but I have no complaints. I thought the food was yummy and well-seasoned. I usually ate lunch in the buffet and dinner in the Renoir restaurant. My favorite selection in the buffet was the chef’s choice whereby each day there’s a different theme, the themes I remember were Italian, American and Caribbean. The elegant night was during sea day and the food was AMAZING. I had a crab cake and shrimp cocktail for the appetizer and some kind of spiral mushroom pasta for the entree and I thoroughly enjoyed both. I’ve heard the prime rib was great (wish I had gotten that as the pasta was also served in the buffet 😕.. but oh well, hindsight is 20/20). Activities: There is SOOOO much to do aboard the ship, seriously! There’s no way you can get it all done in one day so don’t try to stretch yourself thin trying to attend everything. Every night your steward will give you a pamphlet with all the activities going on the following day, my advice is to read through it and circle the ones you absolutely want to attend (or you can favorite it on the Carnival HUB app-which will send your reminders before the event starts). I loved watching movies on the deck, going to the comedy shows, watching cruisers sing karaoke, and the live music. Embarking/Disembarking It was literally so easy, organized and quick! Took maybe 30minutes to embark the ship, and half the time to disembark the ship. My suggestion for those who have an early flight back out, carry your bag out (do not check it the night before) so that way you can walk right off the ship and go through customs.. and voila you’re out and on your way to the airport. We embarked the ship around 11am, statesroom did not become available until 1:30pm so most people went to eat at the buffet so seating was very hard to come by. My advice would probably be to embark the ship at or after 1:30pm, so that you can go right to your room and sit down your carry on bag, then proceed to the buffet to eat, that should save you time on waiting in line to grab food and hunt for a table to eat at. Last words: My ONLY complaint came the first night. We were celebrating my fiancé and mother’s birthday, so I bought a cake online to be delivered the first night to our table at the restaurant. Once I got settled in, I even went to the restaurant to make sure that they had the cake and knew to sing to my fiancé and mother, they ensured me that everything would be ready when we came. Midway through our dinner, the waiter came straight to my mother and asked her did she want the cake tonight (she had no idea about the surprise so she was very confused and responded by saying “no thank you”.. I had to interject and tell him that yes we would like the cake tonight which ruined the surprise). But that’s even a small complaint. Absolutely download the Carnival HUB app, it will save you a lot of time of headache. You can see the photos that were taken of you aboard (and purchase from there), you can check your account to keep and eye on how much you’ve spent, you can also dining tones, and all the activities going on.

Ship was fun. I’m... by milestoneluis

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Ship was fun. I’m very hard to please on food, so I wasn’t too happy with what this ship offered, but that’s not to say you won’t enjoy the food. The people were mostly friendly and I made some cool friends. I stayed mostly in the adult area. On sea day, the pools were incredibly crowded. The shows could have been better. They were all just singing and dancing. The previous cruise I went on with Celebrity had a magician and ventriloquist which were great. It would have been nice to see more variety on this Carnival cruise. They did have a separate comedy show which was outstanding; however, the room would get filled quickly and it was hard to get a seat. The staff was excellent and very friendly. It’s amazing how the staff can keep a smile on their face when they work 6 to 7 months straight for 10 hours a day.
