Great time again have been on the Breeze 3 times before

Our group of 11 loved this cruise. After cruising multiple times on ncl we decided to give carnival a try and we are so happy we did!! Everything was fabulous. The service is wonderful (much much better than ncl). Every staff member was pleasant, helpful and making sure you were enjoying your trip. Our food was amazing every day and night. Our balcony room was bigger than Junior suites on other lines. Shows were great and lots of fun things always happening. We chose this cruise for the many ports (amber cove, st Thomas, grand Turk and grab Turks) and they did not disappoint. We loved the cruise director (Donkey) and will definitely cruise again with carnival. Our entire family had a wonderful vacation thanks to the beautiful Breeze!!

Had a great time again on a Carnival ship. First time on the Breeze and it was great! Cruise Director - Chris “Donkey” Salazar. I can’t tell you the name or anything about our cruise directors before this cruise. Donkey is a young Colombian guy from Australia and really brings a lot to the cruise. Very personable and genuine. Great sense of humor and works extremely hard to make everyone feel welcome. This was his last cruise on the Breeze as he is Carnival is assigning him to a new ship. Embarkation: Smooth and easy. Arrived on time, boarded on time. Food and Dining: Overall food quality was good. Dined 4 evenings in the main dining room and 3 evening at the buffet, pizza pirate, etc... Wait staff was excellent as always. Service and Staff: Friendly and Helpful as always! Dining room and room stewards are exceptional. Cabin: See cabin review Bars and Nightlife: Comedy shows were Carnival typical hit or miss. Guess it depends on your taste. PG shows really struggle - many comedians can’t offer much if you take away the lewd and profane. Bartenders are working hard but there are just not enough of them. Long waits are the norm for drinks all over the ship. Shows - Main Theater shows are fun if you just roll with it. Talented performers often asked to perform outside of their area. Country show performers looked like they are wearing costumes from party city. Movies by Moonlight: Fun and relaxing. Quick question for Carnival - why do family movies overlap with early dinner, when families are eating? Start them 30 minutes later maybe? Excursions: Amber Cove- Waterfalls - Great excursion but physically demanding. 45 minute uphill walk. 2 older ladies got sick from the walk and had to turn back. Jumps and slides were awesome. One of the best excursions we have been on but also one of the most physically demanding St Thomas - Catamaran to St Johns Honeymoon Beach and snorkeling. Lots of fun, catamaran thru the islands was amazing. Saw a few turtles while snorkeling, crew was great. Typical rock gut rum punch for return trip. San Juan - rainforest and fort tour. Over an hour on the bus each wayto two short rainforest stops. Stop at low quality gift shop. All pretty boring. Fort was coo but can do on your own cheap and easy. Grand Turk - Started at Jacks Shack. One of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Famous for their jerk chicken. Walk down past Margaritaville and the crowd to get there. After a few hours there went back to Margaritaville for the pool, party, and free WiFi to check in. Grand Turk is one of my favorite of all the Carnival stops. Debarcation - A typical Carnival debacle. Why does everyone have to be out of their rooms at 8:30 to sit 90 minutes in the hallway while they call every other floor. Let people stay in their rooms another hour? Keep serving breakfast until 9:30? Push the departure of the next cruise back an hour? This is Carnival’s biggest needs improvement area. Overall - Great cruise, saw very few problems or unhappy people.

It was worth it to go get away from the kids for a week it was more worth it to do it with someone you want to spend time with and can make it enjoyable. My first cruise wasn’t fun and didn’t want to do it again. This one was more enjoyable and since we went we have booked 3 more! November 2019 April 2020 and august 2020. We are excited and can’t wait to see more, the carnival breeze was an excellent boat and well worth the money. We will take the kids on this one or similar next year!

We were just on the Breeze in January same cabin, same ports. Have never had a bad time in any of these ports, and always meet some very interesting people.

What a fantastic ship, plenty of room and so many activities going on you will never be board on a sea day or feel over crowded. Already planning next cruise

I have traveled 6 Times already with Carnival this was one not too cool we have two birthdays on board you didn’t even have cards nothing for them like the other ships do.

My husband and I chose to not to any excursions in order to have a relaxing, easy going time. We enjoyed our time on Carnival Breeze and leisurely strolls in three of the four ports we visited.

Had a great time. Piano bar with Mark was our favorite. Service was good, food in dining room was much better than the lido buffet, sushi was fantastic. Donkey was an ok cruise director. We had cookie last year on the magic and I felt like he was much more entertaining and involved. There was some weird sewage smell at times at random places on the ship....didn’t bother me enough to take away from the fun I was having!

So disappointed in the breeze. We had a 7th floor mid ship balcony. On Monday we first reported an odor. They told us they would bring in a machine to clear out the odor while we were at dinner. They did. Got back from excursion on Tuesday same odor. Called again same story Went to dinner (anytime) after an hour we left and went to the buffet because we still didn’t have our food everyone around us had eaten and left our waiter was not to be found. Wednesday came back from excursion same odor. Called again bring machine. All this time I haven’t seen room steward only housekeeping. Got back from comedy show and toilet won’t flush. Call room steward again got housekeeping staff. We were told someone would be right there. After 30 minutes another call. Were told no worries no worries we will have fixed this evening. It’s already 11 by this time. We have a 7 am excursion booked for next day. After another 30 to 45 minutes down to guests service. The young guy was very nice. Looked up reports called housekeeping who had apparently done nothing and told us he would put in a work order and someone should contact us within 15 minutes. He gave us 3 free drinks (don’t drink) and I asked him if this was supposed to appease me for not having a bathroom for 2 hours. About 1:15 still nothing so I called back to guest service and got a lady. This time I was not polite and asked if she wanted me to come down and make a scene or if they were going to do something. She told me she would get right back to me. About 30 minutes later we hear pipes banging. My husband goes out and sees ladders and men down by the elevators. He asks and they tell him not to try to flush the toilets. They open a main line sewer smell all over looks like little pieces of toilet paper on the floor. Carpet is soaked and stinks. About 2:30 am we hear the toilet flush. Up at 5:30 to get ready by 7 but the toilet works at least we didn’t have to go use the public ones like last night. Got back from excursion no odor 😊😊. We had asked for extra pillows and they had been delivered earlier in the week but now they had been removed from the room. Oh well at least our room didn’t smell!!! About 4 that afternoon we got a letter asking us to call guests service. They wanted to be sure our toilet was working. Sure a long 15 minutes!!! Went to sea day brunch sat for 45 minutes before even getting our orders taken. The waiter was to busy at the tables behind us. We even stopped others and asked for service. Once he took our order the food didn’t take long and was good but he never came back and asked if we wanted anything else Bought a bottle of white Hennessy for a friend from the fun shop on Friday and was told it would be delivered after 7 that night. Got back from the comedy club about 10:30. No bottle. Called guest service they called back and told us we had to go pick it up. Down to the fun shop. The girl there knew what we were there for and asked if we were sure it had not been delivered. We were talking to a gentleman in the elevators on the way down and his had been delivered hours before. My daughter saw a box with our room number on it and pointed it out. There were others there from our deck not delivered so I hope they got there’s before the night was over I saw my room steward once again as I was leaving. He was hanging in the hallways looking for extra tips. This was only the second time I had even seen him on the cruise (unlike past cruises we knew our steward). Not all staff was poor. We had a couple of good waiter in the dining room. Jayson at the omelet station made my morning every day. Always pleasant always smiling. Yes he got the extra tips. We saw one waiter on the lido go the extra mile by helping a young boy about 7 or 8 who’s parents set him at a table and went to get their food. Compliments to him and I did tell the head waiter but when I went back to extra tip him I couldn’t find him. Even though I never ordered one waiter in the comedy club always had a joke and a smile. The young housekeeping girls always helpful. Even saw young girls picking up luggage that weighs as much as they did. Donkey of course is at full speed. Cruise was still a good time

We had the best family vacation on this cruise. Loved every minute of it.

Overall this cruise was a lot of fun, I would consider timing better next time and ensure that we are not cruising over spring break (assumed spring break season was over by end of March) if we are cruising without kids.

This cruise was great! Service was great! Wish I did not have to get off the ship!

Overall I really enjoyed the cruise, there where a lot of kids on the ship but it was spring break, the staff all seemed to want to make your trip very memorable. Never saw the Donkey guy but once the whole time, heard him some.

Was disappointed with the dining room staff. I felt they were not well trained & seemed like they were almost like a new group that didn’t have things together. Even though we had your time dining I still feel they should try to put you with the same waitstaff if you are happy with them & if they are available. This way they get to know you & are more happy to please. Also we usually tip at the end of the week but it seemed we were at a different table every night, so no extra tips this time.

This was our first cruise. We will be booking another in the very near future because we enjoyed it so much!

Great ship for family! Cabin is very spacious and we loved the 2 bathrooms. Lots to do for family activities. Food was great in sapphire dining room especially appetizers and deserts. Shows were ok but not great. Our favorite port was Amber Cove: pool, lots of excursions to choose from and lots of shopping. St Thomas had great beaches San Juan is cute to walk around and Grand Turk was a bit disappointing with not much to do. The ship is big enough for 4,000 people and we never felt crowded because there is so much to do and so many places to eat!

Our 1st cruise for our 20th anniversary. Our cabin steward was wonderful. We got a $50 spa credit and a couple other things. Our dining staff for anytime dining was wonderful, we had the same staff for nights 1-5 and for 6- 7 we had another team for both of those nights. We had a wonderful time.

We had a good time. Can’t say enough good things about Tennyson, waiter in the comedy club. A few hiccups with this cruise but it was a good time. Unhappy with a couple of the excursions though.
