We had a good time. Can’t say enough good things about Tennyson, waiter in the comedy club. A few hiccups with this cruise but it was a good time. Unhappy with a couple of the excursions though.

It went smoothly because we pre boarded from home

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Lines were too long and too slow at the buffets. The employees behind the buffet counter disappeared quite regularly and food ran out with no one there. Also there would be no one back there to assist with food that couldn’t be reached by people in line. This happened a lot.
Do I g soo s were nice and we loved the “your time dining” but we noticed a decline in food quality. It was quite tasteless.
Lido Marketplace

Ran out of French toast constantly. The employees behind the buffe kept disappearing and there were things on the buffet that couldn’t be reached by patrons. There needed to be someone there to assist and time and time again No one was there.

Beach Pool

Never anywhere to sit on the deck. There was a ridiculous amount of chairs being saved with a shoe here, a hat there. It was stupid that on this who,e cruise we were never able to get a chair on the Sunshine. Not once.
Entertainment

Loved the Comedy shows!
Limelight Lounge

The employees in there during comedy were great, especially Georgia and waiter Tennyson. I’d cruise again just to visit them. My only problem with it was it was too small for the crowds during the comedy shows. The AC either wasn’t working or there were so many people in there that it got stuffy. So many people were turned away because there was no room for them. I felt bad for those who couldn’t get in. I suggest moving it to the ovation theater or something. They just really need a bigger facility.
Children's Programs
Didn’t take any kids
Service and Staff

Waiters were awesome in the comedy club, Tennyson in particular. That guy worked his butt off and was super nice. I want to book another cruise just to see him. Haha. Carnival should be proud to have him on board.
Ship Quality

Everything was clean. The only problem I had was that there were never any open lounge chairs on the deck in the sun. People would save chairs with a shoe, or one item of clothing etc. it was stupid ridiculous. We would have to settle with something in the shade (we wanted sun darnit). The saved chairs would sit unused for hours with (for example) a single shoe in it.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was great. Perfect for 3 people. We especially loved that there was an extra sink/shower. Bed was super comfortable.
We did an excursion through cruises.com. We did a small tour and beach. It was so far where we had to meet our tour bus. I was exhausted by the time we got there. The island itself, after leaving the port area, was so dirty where we were taken. So much trash everywhere. Open drainage ditched everywhere with so much trash in them. It was pretty gross and left me not wa ting to ever return there. The resort where we went to the beach was nice however and we were fiver a super comfortable bed to lay on. I fell asleep on it, super nice.
Always love St Thomas. We did a tour any beach. Our excursion description said we would be able to choose between 3 beaches. We really wanted to go to Magen’s Bay (which was one of the choices) as we have been there before and loved it. However, the tour guide took a vote and most chose Coki beach, or something like that. It was NOT enjoyable. I was really disappointed. The excursion description was misleading in That it said we would have a choice, but I guess now that that meant “we will take a vote and majority rules.” There was trash just sitting on the beach that wasn’t being cleared away by the employees and it was attracting yellow jackets. We spent most of the time dodging those. We paid for an umbrella and chairs and where the guy sat us up there was still trash from previous patrons. I ended up moving it away from us because again, it was attracting bugs and yellow jackets. The ladies at the snack bar were so rude. While I was waiting to buy a coke they just sat there talking like I wasn’t even there. When I finally asked if they sold soft drinks they looked at me like I was an alien and begrudgingly assisted me with a coke. Other than the beach part the island was beautiful as always.
Port was nice but there were too many pushy people bombarding us wanting to give us tours of the island. We had previously purchased a tour but on our way to the meeting point and even after our tour when we were headed back to the ship those guys were so aggressive.
One of my all time favorites. The cruise center was awesome, the beaches and water were beautiful. We went to Bohio dive resort for lunch, beer and beach. Everyone there were so friendly. The beach was beautiful. We even got a visit from some donkeys while on the beach. I can’t wait to visit there again.
As I mentioned previously in a separate comment you made cc chair hogs, just remove the offenders items when you notice a chair unoccupied for more than 40 minutes. Bring items to towel booth. The matter is then solved, you have a chair in the sun.
You also mentioned how some islands are dirty, with trash. I have found this very common in the Caribbean on most islands. And pushy locals are also very common, as this is their only means of income. I just say “no thank you” and move on. We had issues with huge lines in the buffet, also. Something we never encountered on our RCCL or NCL cruises. I think it’s because they are designed differently, there just is no line—just several different stations. You just go to the station you want. We chose to eat most of our breakfasts in MDR, where we always had excellent meals. As for lunch, we’d eat at either Guys, Pig and Anchor, Blue Iguana, or Deli.
