Overall this cruise was a lot of fun, I would consider timing better next time and ensure that we are not cruising over spring break (assumed spring break season was over by end of March) if we are cruising without kids.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Used Go Port Canaveral for transport from MCO area hotel to port - very smooth - didn't have to handle bags at port at all, about 15 minutes from bus to ship

Alchemy Bar
5 out of 5
Alchemy Bar was outstanding - Vera, Zoltan, Zsolt and Nikolai made great cocktails on and off menu.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pools very crowded - lots of families on spring break, chair hogs were also out in full force. Serenity offered a respite from the kids. Just a note - playing cornhole on a ship adds a whole new level of challenge.
Serenity
4 out of 5
Nice to have a quiet place w/o kids on a spring break cruise
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Did not watch main shows, comedians were good, music was good, sometimes a little loud for location though
Children's Programs
No kids with on trip

Cabin / Stateroom

Only in cabin to change, shower and sleep - met all those needs perfectly and was in good condition when we moved in for the week.
Ship tip
Deck 9 forward has a standing area atop the entire bridge, this was my favorite location when entering or leaving port.
Did Waterfalls of Damajagua through carnival - highly recommended- picked up in motor coaches and driven to excursion. $8 for locker rental is a little silly, just include in cost of excursion. Hike was not difficult, do recommend watershoes with good tread or I wore trail runners. Had 3 guides with ~20 tourists, guides were very good.
Walked to Castillo San Cristobal and El Morro then through Old San Juan. Lots of history at this port to see, very educational and an easy walking history lesson.
Was a complete Charlie Foxtrot (google it). We were using Express Debarkation and following the announcements, but only us and a few other groups around us were. Apparently there is no point in waiting as everyone else was leaving when they wanted to and waiting until your deck is called is for suckers.
I'm overweight, but very active. They take multiple breaks on the way up and I saw plenty of people who were not in good physical shape on the excursion who made it just fine. If you are even moderately active and have no issues climbing stairs you should be able to handle the climb on this excursion.
I just had a question about the waterfall tour. I’ve read that it is extremely difficult yet you say easy. I am 54 but really would like to experience this Are you very physically fit or would you consider yourself average?
